Tonight, I learned how perfect my Thunderbird’s tone is. Preface, I’m using a Epiphone Thunderbird Pro V with Gemini Devastator pickups and a Darkglass Tone Capsule going into a Custard Factory compressor.

With a 300W Fender amp set flat I can be smooth with infinite sustain or brutal attack and growl just through pickup selection and preamp EQ. I’ve been playing through a helix for a while so relying on that platform for tone sculling, but today I learned just how versatile the Thunderbird really is.

That seems to be a normal December phenomenon around here. There are places in LA that freak me right out because they would completely collapse if LA got enough of a soaking. Similar soils, but the mud cliffs stay there in a dry climate. Mud mounds slide here. We never seem to run out of mud to slide, either. You might think we would eventually, but nope.

Interesting how the tugbar is on an angle on that one. It was usually almost parallel to the center block.

It is raining at an epic rate today, esp. from Everett south, not a surprise that there would be a slide as the route runs along a lot of steep cliffs prone to such. Won't be a concern for the GTG.

I love riding the motorcycle in this slop. It is a personality defect.

Yes, a Sydney band - they started in the 70s pub rock scene. Pretty much same time INXS were getting going, Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

The Angels (but from Adelaide) were ripping Sydney’s pub rock scene up in the late 70s - a great time. Cold Chisel was ramping up at the same time.

The Angles are also Angel City, no?

Yes, might be a tone monster but at nearly 11lbs ... no thanks. My T2K MkII is right at 9lbs due to extensive chambering under the pg and it is a tone monster.
