This Guy! He's everywhere!
That's pretty cool! I like how those tailpieces kinda complete the look. So much dead space compared to a bass.In case you feel like it needs more chrome:
Faux Lyre Vibrato Cover - Derek Trucks SG© - no engraving
Seems to be the way around here.
NGD! I never thought I'd go this route, but it became pretty obvious I'd be waiting indefinitely for another run of lefty basses. Watching the Johnny Marr interview on That Pedal Show inspired me to rethink guitar and relearn it. It's been ages. Gibson originally offered me a guitar, but I wasn't interested at the time. But now I'm excited. They were backordered until the Spring, but yesterday I was looking at something at the Gibson site and went over to this '61 Standard page and saw lefties in stock. I emailed my contact and he confirmed they did do an unexpected run and said I should be receiving this today and sent me a tracking number. I thought he meant the tracking number, but it was out for delivery. What a surprise.

Just sold the red Greco to some weird Texas Thom Bombadil hippie, I’m telling ya the peeples you meet on the interwebz these days…
It's pretty amusing - and occasionally informative.
Define "little."Now that I’ve got my brother all lined out medically, the search is back on for a sweet warm little bass amp I can put in my Family room so I don’t have to relegate my self to the bass room to noodle around. What do y’all think about this one…

…seriously, the price looks great to me if I truly needed anything that size. I’m just looking for a nice clean 300watt SS or 50watt Tube rig with a warm 2x12 bass cab for under $1000 new or used.
I'm pretty secure with how I feel about the subject and trust famous and fellow luthiers insights over... endless conjecture/opinions.

it has "Family Room" written all over it!
The latter isn't what's there, for the most part.
LOL - the short squatty bass cab in the middle is a 2x15, I think the other taller PA cabs are 4x12s. Combined with the amps I’d assume it’s a suitable rig for just about any outdoor venue of a 1000 people or less. Would love to see the look on the sound guys face when you show up with that rig in a cafe diner setting. It sure as heck is a cool looking rig though.Define "little."![]()
