Thunderbird Club

Just checked the camera at the mountain. I think I’ll skip going up there tonight.

That's a very cool shop. When I visited last summer, they let me grab whatever I wanted and plug it in to any amp. IIRC I used a Hiwatt for testing:D
And they had comfortable seating area for my wife.

The advantage of being an adult. I was in the Chicago Music Exchange over 10yrs ago and they handed me a '62 Fender Jazz with a $20k tagger. Set me up with a nice rig and walked out of the room. When I was young they would stand there and watch you play a bass in a music store. :) As an adult, any of us 'could' whip-out a gold card and walk out with the nice stuff. An illusion for sure, but I very much enjoyed playing that '62 J!

Calendar dates are blocked. Will likely catch the 7:00 AM JetBlue from LAX to Seattle on Thursday. Get a car, check into a hotel and see what those who are around might want to do for cocktails/dinner. I’ll be around until flying home sometime Monday.

it would be cool if @RedVee could arrive on Thursday morning. I’m willing to provide car service…

I missed it - is there a hard date/dates for the Seattle GTG?

I’d rock that, bet it’ll be gone by the time we get there.

Yah, more than I could justify spending anyway - I just thought it was a cool bass that probably sounds great and is pretty rare. (1st one I've ever seen) Hofners are a dime-a-dozen.

V is planning around the weekend of 07/26,27,28. Some might get into town earlier or stay a few days after.

Having never been to Seattle, I would be up for maybe a Wed thru Tuesday kinda' thing to have more time to do more things. So if you or someone was down with sharing a motel room for that period - let me know before I book tix. Won't be bringing a bass - V will have plenty to play! :bassist:

You’re gonna love Seattle! So much to do, much better weather that anyone would expect and the scenery from the beaches to the mountains is breathtaking. Coffee to die for! Little hole in the wall bars with great all originals live bands. It’s just a very cool place for an active person.

Yes, and a bunch of us to share it all with! Sounds like a win-win to me!

I was scared to get the micro pog, because the pog 2 has the sliders and I figured if it had more features it would be more better

Dylan - that sounds fantastic!
I’ve been Ric curious for a while now but wanted to minimize the cash outlay just in case I don’t bond with it. If you run across another Greco Ric that you think is a good deal PM me, I’m kinda in the mood to buy something with a bit less Tbird DNA in it right now (have even considered fretless for the next purchase as well).

I’m super happy with my time capsule Ibanez..
