It was a joke Marshall. Greco ~ Greek at least Aussie Greeks refer to themselves that way
You are correct on your assumptions. As to why, they may have just had extra .022 caps, or perhaps switched from .022 to .04x.So why two I wonder. They were out of .047’s? Or is there some other reason that I don’t know enough about electronics to understand? There can’t be any appreciable difference between .044 and .047 right? And are tolerances even that accurate? I’m just asking to learn. As I’m pretty new at the whole electronics thing.

For any of you that want to delve into the rabbit hole, search about clutch explosions in front engine dragstersExactly.
Although, as a driver I’d be equally concerned about the rear differential placement in regards to my nether regions…

sweeeet! thx Geoff.
The colour of that pickguard is one thing, but its made worse by the shaping where the guard meets the neck.
that’s the one! I knew you had a Bird with some sort-of-tort…That's how Epi made the pickguards on these NR's. I don't know if you can see it in this pic, but the guard is cut the same way against the neck.

what Miles said.Chucky?
gotta look that up…many don’t realize what goes on in very close proximity to them in automobiles… remember early Toronados?..For any of you that want to delve into the rabbit hole, search about clutch explosions in front engine dragsters
they changed the tire compounds in the late 60s, causing the cars to hook and blow through the clutches, usually at the top end of the track. Some cut the cars in half at speed
the slipper clutch technology only caught up after a rash of drivers were sacrificed to the 1320’ god
