That photo is at the homestead 45 minutes east of the Bay Area. The property in Lassen County is mostly flat flood plain with some smaller hills where the houses will go.Off to do some mowing it seems. But from the looks of the hills, there isn't much to mow.
So true. Especially this: "A part of practicing is playing around the distraction(s)." Practice or live. There will almost certainly be some kind of distraction and you have to tune it out.This.
Bring distracted thinking about my tone definitely has an effect. I notice it even more with my guitar players. Constantly looking at their pedals, amp settings, etc. The guitarist in one of my bands is not happy with the amp he has and is working hard to compensate for what it’s not giving him with pedals until he can find and afford something that will finally (hopefully) give him what he wants. But it’s becoming a problem, for at least the first three songs of the set during practice I can see the frustration he’s having. For me, I mostly have a good to great tone, but when I switch basses, some adjustments can be necessary. Always trying to get good levels, and all that.
I’ve actually been trying to make it a point to just concentrate on just playing well, especially if I am not happy with what I hear, whether it’s me or someone else. A part of practicing is playing around the distraction(s).
You'all are 3 weeks early for all the green axes.
You are going to grow houses there? Those ChemE classes really paid off. That photo is at the homestead 45 minutes east of the Bay Area. The property in Lassen County is mostly flat flood plain with some smaller hills where the houses will go.

You too? Willy has infected everyone. In the Willy Way. Not that he.... You all know what I mean....Green Tuesday..............

I'm hip.What?
yeah, when I got mine I called BaCH for a hard shell case and Roman told me they were out but he still had some bags which he described as “really nice”….well, he wasn’t lying, probably the best gig bag I own and (knock on wood) has served me very well with two NRs over 5 years with well over 100 gigs/yr….I did talk with BaCH about the construction of their rectangular case and how to improve that for the NR Tbird.
And during those conversations a gig-bag was discussed too. But I was against a gig-bag, because I thought (still do) the headstock/neck of the NR Tbird is too vulnerable for a gig-bag. Even with a support block and padded sides.
I had no idea they went ahead and made one anyway. I can't remember that I ever saw one.
Problem is, he can get off time--like way off. I stand right next to him and can't not hear it. He gets off and singers start getting spooked about when to sing and hit their words. I try to pat my foot louder or change up what I'm playing to be more tempo/beat-like to get him and us back on the same page.
That’s great to hear!Look up China’s restrictions on Aussie exports over the last few years….
My RMW’s will supposedly last and last, you can send them back for a resole or other repairs too - cheaper than buying another pair. I have two pair now. One in black and one in chestnut.
Even better, iconic Aussie brands RMW & Akubra, and Drizabone are back in Australian ownership. Thanks to a couple of local billionaires.
I'm hip.
This never works…
Pretty hard for a bad bass player to make good drummer sound bad. All too easy for a bad drummer to make us sound terrible.
