My experience as well.
I used to change them every year, but it was pointless. Then I started using the batteries from the smoke detectors which get changed every year. There is likely 75% of life left in them.
G&L bonus: You can play them in passive if the battery dies or even falls out. Genius! Thank you Leo.
Hey I'm very good at poor humor! I don't just attempt...I succeed!I though all we did here was poor attempts at humor....
Barbarian!Clean? Polish? A bass guitar? Hmmm... What a concept.

Interesting. I've not tried anything like Nevr-Dull before. It's pretty easy if you get a Stew Mac fret-dressing kit. You get a few different metal fb guards (for thin, med or jumbo frets) and polishing pads. I only got the guards and a fret eraser. (looks just like an eraser for smoothing/polishing the surface after filing/steel-wooling. After your initial steel-wool polishing you only need to occasionally use the eraser. I do it whenever I notice the frets look dull. They sell a set but I only have one for polishing. If I want really shiny I use Nevr-Dull for the last step.

Interesting Brit overview on '70s Glam but they showed a teaser clip of Bowie/Ronson in the beginning and then didn't cover them. (!) Never heard of many of the bands/artists ... big in the UK but not so much the US I guess unless a hard-core Glam follower. Love the Roxy clip.
No one likes a crabby dog.

I know most of the bands, but the Elton John clip is fantastic, it's live, great to see Dee Murray on the bass, and Sparks was/is just too cool.

I never had a feel for how popular the Sparks were in other regions. They were pretty big for a while in their SoCal home. Especially around the time Kimono My House came out which is the album “This Town Ain’t..” is from.I know most of the bands, but the Elton John clip is fantastic, it's live, great to see Dee Murray on the bass, and Sparks was/is just too cool.
That's why I ride the motorcycle. It's express lanes down and back from the house to the office. I got lucky that way and life is good.
