This pic is a few weeks old now, but it's the first time playing the Dingwall live. Doggone it, that bass is bad ass!

It’s Deja vu all over again. As long as we are spending Marshall's money and costing him internal organs, there's this one:
Gibson Thunderbird II Non Reverse 1967 Blue | Reverb
It's not even as absurdly out of reach as a whole lot of them are.
In anticipation of our upcoming move, I've started modernizing my home theater stuff. I just recently bought two new stereo components, both Denon. Receiver and CD player. I only tend to replace stuff when I really need to. My previous Yamaha AVR was over 20 years old and my Panasonic plasma TV is almost 20. My beloved Oppo Blu-ray player, which I use for playing CDs, is starting to fail. The vast majority of my player usage is listening to CDs. I don't watch much TV. So since more recent BD players seem like disposable crap and are really bad at playing CDs, I focused my priorities and got a really nice Denon CD player and love it. And I needed a receiver with HDMI.Oh man! I remember when most of the great audio equipment was made in Japan. Fisher was a flagship line with Macintosh, Sony, Pioneer, Panasonic...Some of those go for big $$$ on line like Ebay!
Looks like she's flat-lining on the O'scope!
They are both exclusive.Well crap, they don’t expect them in until JUNE so I guess it could be justified to save up.
order now!
are both colours zzz exclusive?
What is this “change strings”?My excuse is "busy." I'm playing too much. I clean the frets and fretboard every 2-3 times I change strings. It's the back of the neck that I find requires the most frequent cleaning.
When I was way into reading about the Esoteric stuff I would never be able to afford it was MacIntosh, B&O and Onkyo.
Move? Have I missed something? Are you transferring to L.A.?In anticipation of our upcoming move, I've started modernizing my home theater stuff. We started talking about that bass like four years ago. At the time the ask seemed ludicrous. @D.M.N. tried talking them down. These days it’s looking like a bargain. It’s Deja vu all over again.
I recognize that headstock crack. It might be ok, but that’s partly why that bass has been for sale for quite a while.
Mark Levenson was in that group as well…..heard T.C. Electronic hires designers from B&O…When I was way into reading about the Esoteric stuff I would never be able to afford it was MacIntosh, B&O and Onkyo.
Oops! Nice piece of American equipment!
It's what people who play the fun strings do to keep them fun. What is this “change strings”?
