I am reasonably sure it’s a late ‘80’s. I’m the second owner, I got it around ‘94. I’m still acquainted with the original owner that bought it new from Manor Music, in Pacifica.

I could transport it to Seattle. From there, it’s your problem.![]()
Anybody use these? Got them with the Orville.

so agree, should have bought another pair when I chromified my ‘13…..![]()

I had a qtron and I think it’s a high pass and an envelope but I didn’t like whatever it did.
the bassballs has that wah funky sound without being synthy.
I have a pog something it’s the big one with all the sliders and it’s extremely synthy, not too impressed with it. I also have the oc-3, it’s more versatile than the oc-2 but it’s not an oc-2
I forget what OC-___ I had. I more/less gave it to one of our guitarists when I bought the POG-which I might use at Friday night's gig.
Or not. Depends on my mood when I get there. I gots to operate the PA too. I can multi-task, just not at the same time.![]()

Easy now, we don't want the word getting out. We already have a lot of people from California and Texas moving here, house prices are now 4th highest in the country...it's making Thunderbird storage really expensive.
Well, a ship(sp?) load of of snowbirds are becoming ex-snowbirds and moving themselves-and their money-to FL, which has NO state income tax, a somewhat lower cost of existing(this is living?), and a severe lack of snow.I wish more people would leave Texas instead of moving here. Prices have started slowly decreasing the last year or so, but are still way too high. If we were looking to move away, we'd have sold two years ago and been long gone.
I’d tell you to get this and run through an effects loop. But they are like unobtanium now. No word on future availability. They were (gulp) $399 new. They are going for more than that when one comes up used.
View attachment 5464137It really is a fun time to be into bass. Ken’s buddy at Master Effects makes some highly regarded pre-amps in various flavors. Including an Ampeg.

I love that Mesa-pre.
Lots of flexibilty.
And agreed, they just don't show up anymore used.
He does make the Super400 which is based on the Mesa400+. That should be a reasonable facsimile of the Boogie channel in the Subway TT800. But that is just a guess.I was going to suggest seeing if Tim at ME has considered building a Subway preamp pedal. There's already a Super 800 (and Super 800 Plus!) after the GK 800RB so he'd have to name it something else. Super MBS?
Might as well just get a used D800+ head for most applications. There's one on Reverb but they want close to $600 with shipping.
I doubt there would be much demand for a Subway preamp pedal. He does make one after the 400+.I was going to suggest seeing if Tim at ME has considered building a Subway preamp pedal. It’s all those cashing in their tiny million dollar+ California houses and getting a lot more fore a lot less money. Good for them. I’m staying put.I wish more people would leave Texas instead of moving here. Prices have started slowly decreasing the last year or so, but are still way too high. If we were looking to move away, we'd have sold two years ago and been long gone.
Yeah. I was a loner as far as Bowie went up until Young Americans. Which was my least favorite album of his from the seventies. But Fame was a huge hit. Go figure.you didn’t dare say you liked Bowie in my Davie FLA HS days….strange..
I had one too. In hindsight, it was the cabs that were the pits. One played through a modern, efficient cab is so much better. As mentioned numerous times, I loved the sound of my 45+/-W '63 Bassman head(and 212 cab). Just insufficient cojones.
thx! not too bad…

Maybe, but there weren't modern, efficient cabs when I was gigging my 2 '63 Bassmans from '68 to '78. At least not that I knew of, needed, or could afford.I had one too. In hindsight, it was the cabs that were the pits. One played through a modern, efficient cab is is so much better.
At the Java Owl coffee shop this morning I met a professional artist who may do some commissions for me-
No sooner that he left, my next neighbor set these books down-

Turns out that he is an interventional neurologist who not only gave meaningful feedback on the psychiatric aspects of my novel (sci-fi/fantasy genre), but also bought a copy of my graphic anthology-
Mind you such encounters are few and far between, but I am thankful when they happen.
I’m sure that many of you have had similar experiences in different fields and venues -
Come to think of it - this thread is like an online Java Owl-
