Sounds like teaching here. I don't know why people would want to do it. Other than in big school systems like here in town, the money is great and it's nearly impossible to get fired. A couple months off in the summer is a draw for some. But to read the crap teachers have to put up here is unacceptable. Had one kid in town threaten a teacher in front of people saying he was going to get a g-- and end her life. He was only suspended three days and the genius administration told her she needed to meet with hime for reconciliation--and he would be back in her class! Due to some cultural nonsense. That's some special stupid right there. Then they downplayed it and hoped it would not get out. That’s what I’m going for
Ok, I had to look that up. But yes, I could imagine doing that.
I’m going to take a look at the winery nearest home, I could work in their Cellar Door…
My wife had a huge amount of admin work to do outside of the actual teaching. She was working after dinner every night and most of each weekend for years. Plus hard to get any support when disciplinary action was needed.
It isn’t sustainable.
Hey, I type drunk all the time...and don't even drink anymore.Yes, but “pasr” got “past’ me. One of the hazards of typing on the phone half drunk with serious data lag (from recent storms in my area)
Part would involve getting into a forbidden political discussion about two isms they were ignorant of. (The second part was their applications of this misguided understanding.) It's actually a pretty common mistake, even among the educated to see them as opposites on the spectrum when, in fact, they are not, and if one reads original sources instead of people's quotes on other's perspectives this is easily seen. I won't say anything beyond that so we can get back to Thunderbirds.Pray tell what the misinterpretation was- we wait with bated breath!

What’s wrong with a road coke? But you can't be drinking the beer along the way.
Hard to use your key when it's in the ignition. What’s wrong with a road coke?
Similar happened at her last school in a lower socioeconomic area of Sydney. Kid said “my cousin is a drug dealer, he’s gunna come and get ya”. Lovely hey? She kicked him out and put a complaint through the correct channels. No support “ we will discuss it with his parents”. Kid was on report or suspension every other day.Sounds like teaching here. The best support I actually had were the "troublemaker" kids I got in good with. Once you got their respect, they would really show it. I had a kid get way out of hand once and start threatening me cuz I was laughing during his outburst. One of the kids stepped up and asked if he could talk to me outside for a second. We stepped outside and he was just telling me how they didn't appreciate that kind of behavior and how people that are trying to help them like me shouldn't have to put up with that kind of stuff. When I went back in the class, the kids who had been going off was sitting in his chair looking down at the ground and everybody was silent. You could see he had just taken a couple licks to the face. Never had anybody pop off in that class again.Similar happened at her last school in a lower socioeconomic area of Sydney. My all time favorite pop song - TSC play it. Paul & I doubled the solo - I played my '68 Coral Deluxe Bass (Dano made) as his bass-player played a Dano Longhorn on the vid below. One of the guitarist is playing a Silvertone (Dano - possibly a baritone) but Glen plays the lead on his Strat.
Smart move - such can de-evolve into contentious territory. Best to steer clear of anything political here.![]()

Mine was 519096. I have it on an appraisal that was done while it was intact.
Oh. I thought it was the fact it looks like crap.Other than those few boutique makers (boutique = $$, and justifiably so being essentially hand-made) - any production tort is a dot-pattern photo-image; a photo reproduction of imitation tort. This is what gives tort a bad name.

I put the 67's back on after a short experiment with it off after I noticed I had it off in videos from '82. These days, I rest my thumb on the 'hand rest', pinkie on the bridge cover, and pluck in between over the superfluous pup.I finally got around to installing my '64 II's (original) N-pu cover. I play over the bridge pu so it won't be in the way for me. I've never had it on the bass since taking it off in '78. I had to make a spacer for the E-side foot so it sits even with the G-side standing on the pg. In going through my original parts - I realized I had 4 (black plastic) spacers which are all the same size and the one I needed is longer. So they all are for a bridge cover which is shorter. I have my '68 EB3 (long sold) bridge cover so I'll assume that is where the second set is from. I studied the bass and realized it probably didn't have N-pu cover spacers there as there was a slight indent that echoed the cover foot exactly. The original pg is slightly thinner than my ebony clone so installed the tilt w/o a spacer wouldn't have been noticeable. I have all original parts so if there was a longer one - I would have it. The bridge-pu cover stays in the box - it would be in the way limiting my playing, most especially palm-muting which I incorporate a lot.

After the '63 II was stollen along with my custom ebony/abalone inlay pg* - I got the '64 II and made a second pg for it, which is the one pictured. Carved out my name on the back for provenance-sake.

*long story but I ended up getting my 1st custom pg back a number of years ago, abet missing a corner. I've since repaired it. My second attempt was much better - the first one was my first stab at inlay-work.

your covers look pretty shinyAnd they're original too. When I pick(not often), it's in the same area. And yes, them's my shortish, fattish fingers. The ones on my fretting hand are a mirror image.whatever blows your skirt up -your covers look pretty shiny

Great for smacking drummers-or, in your case, new singers.Bird of a different feather.
