Listen to us! Lemme tell ya, kid, Aleve will keep ya young and make all those missing body parts kinda sorta work again...I've tried all the OTC pain killers and have settled on 2 extra strength excederin for headaches and 4 Bayer aspirin for all other aches. Aleve, Advil and Tylenol do nothing for me. Beside the bleeding stomach NSAID issues the other thing you have to keep in mind with some of those OTC pain killers is that some (I think Excederin is one) do serious damage to your liver if you drink alcohol. Of course I only figured that out after years of mixing the two.
Good thing my son, who is 26 now, has started playing with the bass guitar I gave him a while ago. It's a Thunderbird, of course. Gotta bring along the next generation so he can hang out on TB and talk about Aleve and 'Birds in 30 years.

I hope so. After all I'm 14+(N+1) years old. Actually, now that I think about it, I could easily be here 30 years from now, assuming that I have the Ozzy Osborne type immunity from my own stupidity that seems to have kept me functional so far.
And in 30 years, I'll be arguing with my son about string choices. Gotta cure him from this treble thing, though. He's been a trumpet player for more than 15 years now. Which is insane considering that he's only 26.

Yep, I do sell fixtures, I've built most of the display pieces in our showroom as well. Anymore though I enjoy planning and spec'ing lighting the most, countless houses, and lots of light commercial like medical offices. LED technology is a challenge to try to keep up with as well.

Warning, non 'Bird content. I'm boasting about the kid. He's the trumpet player in the green shirt in the lower left in some of the frames. He's not doing much in this video. I didn't find anything with him featured, but so it goes. He does a whole lot of different things. Off and on, you can hear a growly trumpet with a plunger mute. That's him.

I did find him a little more. Still non 'Bird content. Apparently he likes that green shirt and dark vest.
Funny thing about it is that he has some little riffs he just throws in here and there, and I immediately know it's him playing. They are just little trills most of the time, but I have heard them forever. And, I kinda wish he would find some other little trills and fills to do. But, they are an unconscious signature, so they will stick around.

I have not, but it sounds like I need to do that.
Vaud and the Villains put on a great show. I have been agitating for them to come up to Seattle, but they are all paid pros, which means it's expensive to get them anywhere. I think they would go over well here.
Funny thing about the kid and dressing up. When he was younger, he was completely schlumpy and would play in ragged jeans and a random t-shirt. And, his hair was some kind of cross between a mullet and a 'fro. I can't complain about that too much, because I remember my parents telling me that I dressed for failure back when I was a kid. It's genetic that way. I'm pretty sure he gets his talent from my wife. He sure doesn't get it from me.
Okay, I FINALLY found a parts store here in GER that sell those chromes Bridge inserts, so one last Chance for the threepoint. the 9.2k chinabuckers arrived, also!
If your old inserts are pulling out chances are the new ones will also. The insert isn't the problem, the lack of wood for it to bite into is the issue. Follow the steps (with the new or the old inserts) that I outlined a few days ago and you'll be good as gold.

I would not use Superglue for this, it's inherently quite weak. It forms a crystalline bond that has almost no shear strength, even the thicker types don't have enough "body" to fill in all the minute voids either, nor is a good choice for two very dissimilar materials (wood and metal expand and contract at very different rates) Lastly, the quicker an adhesive sets, the weaker the joint.
Take a look for two part epoxy, yes it's slow and a bit stinky but you won't have them pulling out again.

I've had good luck with wood glue and toothpicks myself. Don't know what else to say about it.
After 3 long month it finally arrived today:
Forgive me the Fender cable. When I leave the bass' tone on it hisses quite loud. Guess that's the tubes, right? No problem for me though as I use tone at 3 maximum.
Overall it sounds perfect for me.

There's something about a white Bird, they look a bit vintage without even trying. Nice Bird and joking aside, I'm a bit jealous.
