found this bass after years of looking for it....funny we were talking Kramers recently....recorded a whole record with it years ago but was living abroad when its owner (and dearest friend) Ed R passed..... mutual friend just reached out with it......:hyper:

Sorry to hear about your friend, but I'm glad that bass ended up where it belonged. That's just cool.

Funny(sorta)story about "Mack the Knife". We do "Old Time Rock 'n' Roll" on pretty much every gig(crowd loves it). I sing it, but I hafta look at the lyrics sheet. We (I) do "Mack" maybe once a month. I know all the lyrics to all the verses.
Mack was a hit in 55 and in 59 - your formative years. It’s burned into your brain because of timing. Pretty distinctive, too.

My new, old, old, new, new, new, old. old toy…need to troubleshoot the lack of sound. It’s a T-500, which is the real deal mechanical tone generators with Leslie. Think mini C-3.
That looks like the one I helped my friend Haroon with. Only pic I have of it. (backside w/M-Audio keyboard on top)

One of my dad's favorites - he'd sing along when it came on the radio. He also liked Whiskey Bar by the Doors. (he recognized it from the 3 Penny Opera) Never played "The End" (last song on the 1st Doors LP) when he was around... :cautious:

If anyone here uses Dunlop Strap-Loks - I found this off-brand version that apparently is exactly the same as the Dunlops but cheaper. Dunlops are regularly $19.99 a set. These are $15.10 - I bought 2 sets so saved on shipping ($4.15)
