Weird. My CP and VP fit my Gator case. They're snug but I didn't have to force either of them to fit. Mine are both 2019 basses; what are yours? Not all. CP and VP are slightly larger bodies at the lower rear horn. I haven’t had issues with the Epi triangular case but my Gator doesn’t fit those.
Roger is in two awesome projects. I am really happy for him.I would happily come see y'all play if you were anywhere nearby. RI is a bit far even for a Texan to drive for a single gig. I just need to come up with a good excuse...
Me, too - except still too far off. This Queen needs to retire - Or at least not work so much, happily not too far off.
2014, 2017, and 2021.Weird. My CP and VP fit my Gator case. They're snug but I didn't have to force either of them to fit. Mine are both 2019 basses; what are yours?
I think Gator has, or at least had, two sizes for Thunderbird cases.Weird. My CP and VP fit my Gator case. They're snug but I didn't have to force either of them to fit. Mine are both 2019 basses; what are yours?
So the 4.1 was you!It sounds amazing. I don’t have a true vintage Thunderbird to A/B it with. That'll have to wait until my next visit to San Ramon or the GTG. But with the Lo Riders Chris sent on it and through the SVT, it is a monster. Especially cranked. I got a bit worried last night while playing that I would wake up the semi hibernating bears. Or worse, set off the San Andreas fault. I’m looking forward to running it through my Mesa amps.
Epicenter was about 10 miles from my house. Was playing the Burny at volume and didn’t notice it until I saw the basses on the wall swaying.4.1 shaker for our SoCal birders.
Wild. Maybe my case is out of spec. Maybe the second/blem bit wasn't just the cover needing glue in a spot or two? Seems unlikely but ...2014, 2017, and 2021.
The lower rear horn on mine push the bodies forward and sit on the top of the middle cushion. Also, too short for VP. Must be a different model Gator. Mines from 2018.Weird. I must have the Marshall version. ShortI think Gator has, or at least had, two sizes for Thunderbird cases.

Ack. I don't recall and can't find the order in my saved emails.I think Gator has, or at least had, two sizes for Thunderbird cases.
It appears from old posts (search function worked!?!?!) that Thunderbird Bass Guitar Wood Case-GWE-TBIRD-BASS - Gator Cases is what I bought. Not sure how they are measuring "overall length". Strap button to headstock tip?Ack. I don't recall and can't find the order in my saved emails.
Thanks. I’m not laughing.I must have the Marshall version. Short![]()
That one doesn’t appear to have a cushion in the lower right. It appears from old posts (search function worked!?!?!) that Thunderbird Bass Guitar Wood Case-GWE-TBIRD-BASS - Gator Cases is what I bought. Not sure how they are measuring "overall length". Strap button to headstock tip?
That is almost exactly the overhang of the ‘17 VP in he Bicentennial case. Maybe they modified later to accommodate the VPs ?The lower rear horn on mine push the bodies forward and sit on the top of the middle cushion. Also, too short for VP. Must be a different model Gator. Mines from 2018.

I was at a fire prevention meting. And didn’t feel it in the second floor of our clubhouse building. But it was sort of close in Thousand Oaks. Coincidentally, our Forest Service district manager was there and talked about their earthquake response protocols.Epicenter was about 10 miles from my house. Was playing the Burny at volume and didn’t notice it until I saw the basses on the wall swaying.
It's always interesting when the unaccused start professing their innocence.I swear I didn’t cause it.
They pull in some great acts (including, of course, the Nasty Habits)! I trust it pays well.
The Gator website says 48" overall length (interior) for this model. It appears from old posts (search function worked!?!?!) that Thunderbird Bass Guitar Wood Case-GWE-TBIRD-BASS - Gator Cases is what I bought. Not sure how they are measuring "overall length". Strap button to headstock tip?
