Thunderbird Club

probably has more play hours than most out there...
Yeah. From Feb. 75 through ~May 83 I abused it 6 nights a week, at least 4 hours each night. Thems was the 'good ol' days'! And quite a bit after that.
Now it sits in its Coffin(TM) case wondering when/if it'll get out again.

Give me time. I only recently got the ability to do that. Give me time. I'm shy. I don't want to post anything here that isn't up to par. You all have set the bar pretty high. Although many have heard me…
It's fun to see and hear each other play, we're all doing it because there's something we love about playing. It's edifying.
Come on Marshall! Bring the noise... I bring a cold bucket of clams to every gig and some of them always get in a recording. 🫣 But that was it! 😁

More amp saga, a friend up the street has a Mesa TT800 for sale and has offered to let me try it out for a couple days. I won't gig with it, but I can plug it into what I've got here and put it through some paces. I'll A/B with the Eden, record it with the old Zoom H2 and save the files in REAPER to listen to later.
Also I got a stupid deal on a 30 year-old Schroeder 1210 yesterday, (after selling a Hartke 410XL) and took it to a drummer's house to jam (we're starting up a project). There's a serious low-mids bump in that little guy- like everyone says about it- but it's eq-able to a good place, so there's one piece for the smaller room and "politer" gigs! That thing's loud... It's a little heavy for a small cab, but I'm good with it.
Now I'm looking for a head to sit atop it, that can also handle the doomy, low-end heft of Reverie (with the Ampeg beast under it- hands down the best sounding tank I've ever had. I think that one's gotta stay, I'm working out moving it's 128lbs up and down stairs. 😂).
My little 'Bird is going to have a couple nice vehicles to get around in. 🙂 Life is pretty good when you can say it the way you want to.

I'm curious what you think about the TT800.
That Schroeder is a good cab.
If you can eq those mids it might work out really well.

Never heard of your cab, so I had to look for what it was, assuming it was 12 x 10. I found this photo on a Reverb ad. I think that's your answer.

You may want to download the manual from the Mesa site. And remember, the Boogie channel is based on the Mesa 400/Fender tone stack.

Re the Ibby. It's not worth messing with. It's heavy . Luthite. I'll give it away if anyone wants it. I got it for $200 With a Gator case that fits my Fenders. I bought it for the case….thinking I could do something about the tone. I can't without putting money into it. At this point I don't care.
The Flamingo is refinished but has its sereal number. Maybe it is straight forward for a good painter.

I just love the oddball stuff I guess. I really like the 1961-1967 Ford Econoline pickups too.

Plus I fell in love with Kei trucks when I was 18 and I test drove a Mitsubishi MiniCab.
I'd love to have an Econoline pickup! I had two E100 vans. Both had been rode hard and hung up wet a lot before I got them, but I really liked them.
