These (VP’s) are highly regarded, I’d advise giving the stock pickups a go before thinking of replacement.Hello,
I have a beautiful white Epiphone Tbird Pro coming to me in the mail. One of the early ones with rosewood fretboards.
Whats the deal with the probucker pickups? I had originally intended to put EMG PJ pickups in it as a stage bass but Ill consider the probuckers if they do the same thing. I have my 91 Gibson bone stock that I will die with so this one was intended to be the modding bass.
Also, is there a source for a gold bridge for these basses? I know the rex brown Epiphone Tbird has all gold hardware and I wonder if they are transferable.

Thank you

With a concrete block for a head. Neighbor had one and it came running out of the house full speed right into the truck’s steel bumper. The neighbor went straight to the truck to check for damage. The dog was fine. They are wonderful dogs.
Plan on cheap Eub to see if the challenge is too much, or rent oneTry to get an upright with a decent setup and adjustable bridge - so it’s not impossible to play.
Let’s hope so.I think it will fit, but you would have to change the inserts because the Philadelphia luthier supply studs are Imperial.
The PL inserts also have a larger diameter so the holes would need to be enlarged or find Imperial inserts to match the diameter to match the holes in the Epi.
Yes, Philadelphia Luthier carries a gold one but you may need t change the inserts.Hello,

I watched this last night. It had been years.
Here they are side by side:Let’s hope so.
Good idea. I started with a Steinberg NXT and then found a great deal on an Englehardt. Just something to be aware of:Plan on cheap Eub to see if the challenge is too much, or rent one
Ah, yes. Thank you for the kudos on that. Shallowness at this high level is a lot of work.Don't forget your pro-level shallowness.
He played all kinds of instruments. So did Ox.yeah always found it interesting JPJ played mando...
Good tip.Good idea. I started with a Steinberg NXT and then found a great deal on an Englehardt. Just something to be aware of:
Unlike a bass guitar where you use your hand as a clamp to bring the strings onto the fingerboard, on upright, to make it easier on your hand, you hold your hand in place and push the bass forward with your body against your fingers. That doesn't really work if there's no bass body to push against.
But EUBs will usually have lower action.
Those control plates always look kludgy to me. It's not much more work to route a rear cavity!A 32” Thunderbird in disguise!
Yeah. It makes sense on designs that date back to the early days, but on modern designs, no thanks. At least make it artistic. Those control plates always look kludgy to me. It's not much more work to route a rear cavity!
Greco with a Epi TRC or a mislabeled Epi?
