Thunderbird Club

We were pretty fired up last night, I love going on first, everybody's ears aren't worn out and if they're coming to see the headliners we always try to put on a better show. Loved the Ashdown, here it's getting me pretty close to the song's tone, a little clanky, plenty of definition - Love those Gibson RI pickups!

Nice pick tone!

Sounds great. I’ve never needed that sound at church (some day!) but sometimes when I’m just jamming/practicing with other fun music, I look for tone like that.

Although it’s not a tone I’m frequently after, that amp setting sounds great for that song. Would sound equally epic on another fast chug song - Paranoid, by Black Sabbath.
If I ever get my Warwick Thunderbird build completed it would nail that tone even on a normal amp setting.
Well played my Queen, love to see and hear the excitement at your venues, maybe someday in person.
I get that out of all three, the Ampegs, Carbine and TT.

True here with fog. Morons (yes morons)...
1. Don't think you need to slow down,
2. There can't possibly be any one ahead slowed or stopped 50th into the fog. Just not possible ("I'm the only one on the road or on earth" person.)

Not much different when it snows for way too many. ("I can drive fast in anything.") Sure you've dealt with it countless times.
Yeah. Both on cases and when it snows up here on the mountain. It’s like some people think they need to push the limits of their AWD to get their money’s worth.

Well, I’ve been holding off on this,
But I’m sad to say that the ABM 600 I got had to be returned.
Long explanation and I won’t get into it.
But I got a full refund.

Next on the way is this :woot:
Fender TB1200.
Kind of a dream amp.
And the price was more then right.

Hate the ABM didn't work out, but I liked those Fenders.

Heard a lot of great things about those amps. Nice snag.

ABM in the house. Quick delivery from Musician's Friend. Original box and manual. Mint condition with no signs of use. Has that new smell.
Not my settings, I just turned it on to make sure lights came on, everything worked and it made bass sounds. More of a slight pop when turned on and click and common speaker 'puff' when turned off. The 500 was silent on and off. Doesn't seem to be a problem, just unexpected. The detent on the output have me in between, one being nothing and the next one being too much for tube grind at home. Got it managed, but only fooled with it enough to make sure it worked. I definitely have more room to adjust the input and overall volume. The single fan is silent compared to the two fans on the 500 which was noticeable. This one is barely on and nice and quite. I imagine it's variable and speeds us as needed. I'll bring the 500 home tomorrow to compare. The 300 may be a tad brighter, but could very well be my imagination.

Truth be told it got destroyed by UPS.
Thought it might have been salvageable.
But @Chucky Stiletti steered me in the right direction.
Good thing the seller was super cool.
I documented everything.
Returned the amp.
The seller and I did ok.

Sounded great for the first few minutes before all the problems began to surface.

Hate that, but as long as you are happy with with what you have, that's what matters. I thought about buying one of those Fenders. I hope you love it.

I tried one that I’m getting a while ago in a music shop.
I was floored by its heft and it’s ability to slam.
Just couldn’t afford it.
It weighs a lot by today’s modern standards.
But not like an SVT.
It’s on the way.
And the seller showed me how it’s packed.
Should be ok.

May need the right sealed 810 to pair up with it 😂

Personally, I’d go down the Berg route first - NV610 is a monster, as is the 412 or 215. :)
Or for a real back breaking orgasmic inducing dream stack - two Berg HT322’s stacked with the top one inverted. I’d pay money to hear that rig! Of course I’d probably have to pay more money afterwards to regain my hearing. Those super efficient 322’s have off the chart SPL specs (sensitivity rating of about 103db with something over 130 max db IIRC).

Ok, picture one of these,

and make gravity = voltage, water (flow) = current and width of that center pipe = resistance. If you want more water flow (current) you can either raise the tank further off the ground (increasing the voltage) or make the pipe wider (decreasing the resistance).....
Oh. OK, got it. :rollno:
