Just an FYI, reverse is the generic designation for birds of that type vs a non-reverse.

We pretty much all think Gibson did too...My bad... I was thinking non reverse. Got 'em mixed up.
Where can I find a gigbag that fits a Gibson Thunderbird? Love the included hard shell case from Gibson....but it's damn bulky. The Thunderbird is way too long for a standard bass gigbag and MF and SW don't seem to stock any gigbags that fit 50+ inch basses.
Thanks for reply. That link is a hardshell case... was looking for a gigbag.
It's a Rex Brown signature Thunderbird. Not a reverse.
Gator Pro GoAnyone out there know the total length of an Epi Thunderbird Vintage pro / 60s bass? I know it’s a 34” scale, but I can’t find an overall length anywhere. I’ve got one on the way and I’m trying to source a gig bag for it and withe the slanted body and ginormous headstock, I don’t think it’s gonna fit in just any ole’ gig bag.
I have this one and it works well. I think it is the same version Ringhammer posted above, but from Amazon: Amazon.comThanks for reply. That link is a hardshell case... was looking for a gigbag.

We were pretty fired up last night, I love going on first, everybody's ears aren't worn out and if they're coming to see the headliners we always try to put on a better show. Loved the Ashdown, here it's getting me pretty close to the song's tone, a little clanky, plenty of definition - Love those Gibson RI pickups!
Yes. A great option I would think. Ashdown has a couple 30w versions.hmm you are right: a PF 50t perhaps
One of these?Ben playing some guitar lately and am getting....
True here with fog. Morons (yes morons)......Mostly because some idiots just drove too fast. Like fog accidents. Those involving big rigs were the worst. Very sad. And often preventable with just a little common sense.
Great pick toneThis sounds awesome!

That’s a reverse. It’s the original bird shape, but it’s backward to everything else at the time, so it’s called reverse. Thanks for reply. That link is a hardshell case... was looking for a gigbag.

That looks like the one I have. No labels, just a tiny “Made in India” tag inside. Works fine - just not for an Epi VP/60s/64 with the Rhode Island sized HS.
Love your tone. It's not what I shoot for, but in other settings certainly would on occasion. Big but still present, filling in perfectly.
If you're looking for incredible protection, both the Gator ProGo and Icon soft cases will fit the Thunderbird if you take out the inside bottom cushion. It's just held in with velcro. I've had both. I prefer the ProGo's pocket setup, but the Icon is a little wider at the bottom, which fits the Thunderbird body a little better. Either would serve you well.Where can I find a gigbag that fits a Gibson Thunderbird? Love the included hard shell case from Gibson....but it's damn bulky. That's a beauty! It's been a bit quite on the Thunderbird front around here, not much available locally so my eyes landed on a '66 Firebird at The House of Guitars. It's been on layaway for a number of months and I was finally able to bring it home today. It's a great addition to the collection and will look great with my birds.![]()
