Thunderbird Club

Is that the bridge end p'up? One has a cover and the other has a bezel/surround of some sort. I might be inclined to just leave it open on a 'Bird. Or get a cover custom made.
Yea it's the. Bridge pup but there is no bezel on it at all. It's literally just lag screwed into the cavity

The thing that made "Arc"... "valid" I suppose... is that it was released as disc 2 of "Weld". I woulda been less than thrilled if I hadda actually paid 10 - 20bux for it as a stand alone disc!

I can't pick a favorite Neil Young album. Like y'all say about your 'birds... "the best one, is the one I'm playing right now"!

Being a life long fan, I'm sure you do, but I gotta ask... do you have Crazy Horse's album, "Scratchy"? If not... you neeeeeed it!

I own and actually rather like both Arc and Weld.

Is tha-- SQUIRREL!!
That reminds me of something my daughter said. She's the girl in class who's always listening to the teacher, doing her school work, etc. When everybody else is talking or screwing around she gets annoyed. She told me her classmates all suffered from "ADOS". I said, "What's that?". She said, "Attention Deficit... Oh! Squirrel!"

I like Coltrane. Same with some, but not all, rap.

So, is that sheep or goat? There's a herd of goats cleaning up a steep area in between a couple roads nearby. It makes me smile every time they come around. I have always liked goats. They have attitude.

Perhaps there's a better expression. I love 'Trane. I sing bits of A Love Supreme to the cats.

That nut spacing bugs me
It looks like the bridge has been monkeyed with. The stop bar was farther away and is now closer to the bridge. Likewise, I don't like the looks of the screws holding the tune-o-matic part on. If you look at the closeup, you can see three holes in the body where I would assume the stop bar was at one time. There are what appear to be trim ring screw holes around the bridge pickup rout. None of this prove anything except that it's had a whole lot of changes in its life.

It's a mess, for sure. But I like it. I still have no idea whether it's a real Gibson or not. The headstock has been sanded down if it is.

I'm more partial to Mingus. The holy trinity - Ellingon the father, Mingus the son, Monk the holy ghost. I can imagine what would happen if you sang Fables of Fabus to the cats.

Hmmm. I hadn't thought about controls and pickguard. I really didn't put much thought into it.

Big bottle of alcohol? Sure; rubbing is OK, right?

Actually, I have expensive taste in liquor.
Yeah I hadnt thought about the controls either until a few days ago, Im customizing a lefty P-bass and after my carving and sanding and whatever else I realized that I have to reroute the wiring and route new control cavities and then I had to fill in the old cavity with a whole lot of bondo. I considered just recessing the controls deeper into the cavity to the point of being flush and then I figured "f it"!, Ive already altered it enough.
