Poor chump, I hope that's not all Scott paid him. No wonder Scott can afford all those new basses. His roadie just gets parts for pay.The roadie with Scott's BadBird.

OK, let's not put too many secrets in one one post. At least you didn't dismiss the whole neck dive thing. And if you add purple silks, you get loud and tone.
Yes- released in the USA in 1982. Saw it in the theater all by my lonesome in a university town that summer.Which movie are we talking about?
Blade Runner?
I’m a bass slut- I’ll lay it down with any bass with an easy action-No Warwick. Only Greco.
No Spector. Only Epiphone.
No 7ender. Only Gibson.
No other bass. Only Thunderbird.
So far. Maybe forever?

I heard bass but …yup, James Olmos and his little origami calling cards.....
pretty smoking huh......could be wrong but don't think we'll see another James Brown anytime soon.....scary good showmanship....was looking to see if the bass player had the covers on his but they don't show him......the whole song is bass for Christ sake....not really surprised.....![]()

I remember how the Pris shooting scene blew my mind with the thunderous sound system of that particular theater -
I will, too, but Thunderbirds are what convince me to own them.I’m a bass slut- I’ll lay it down with any bass with an easy action-
Scott is the Chuck Norris of bassists. Or Chuck Norris is the Scott Dasson of martial arts. The roadie pays him.![]()

A.k.a., @godofthunder59
Maybe you could sell it to Scott’s roadie for enough to finance several builds.Just did half a thing…

These Epiphone Non Reverse Reversed headstock necks don’t come up for sale often (if ever). Appears to be in really good shape, nice level frets, working truss, no bow or twist. Even included the tuners, nut and truss cover. It’ll sit in inventory until I decide what to build around it.

The only 7ender I've ever owned-past tense-was a Strat I got a helluva deal on. Problem being I don't play gee-tar*. I did own a squire VM Jaguar bass for a while, but except for my one Ibby, everything (4) ,is Gibby or Epi.Beautiful basses!
Everybody should be so lucky to have a Spector and Warwick in their arsenal (I didn’t say Fender, because everybody already has one of those). Actually, my Spector Rex5 Pro is what brought me to this club about ten years ago. At that time I didn’t own a Gibson or Eppi Tbird, just the Spector Tbird shaped thing…

I had read countless posts on Talkbass about what a horrid disaster the Gibby Tbird is - epic neck dive, headstocks that snap off for no reason, quality control completely lacking, sound like mud, one trick pony with a lame leg, ergonomic disaster, way way over priced, zero customer service and an overly obnoxious CEO. Needless to say, I steered completely clear of the Gibby/Eppi brand.
Until one fine day around 2015 when I stumbled across a relatively rare limited run SG Supreme in Lava Burst that I thought might make an interesting investment. Once I got I I realized how great it was built and how nice it sounded, a far cry from what I was told I would experience with that bass. A few months later I ran across a very nice looking 2012 Thunderbird Golden Anniversary bass, and figured what the heck, it’s a limited run and might be an ok investment, so I bought it and again was taken back by how nice it looked, played and sounded as well as the fit and finish. It was then I realized that Talkbass is packed with posters that don’t have a clue about Thunderbirds and simply parrot a talking points they’ve read or heard.
Fast forward about 10 years and 30 thunderbirds later and I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with the direction I’ve taken my bass acquisitions. Do some Tbirds neck dive, yep, but none of my Gibsons, and only a couple of my Eppis. All fixed with a proper strap and pin location. Do headstocks fly off for no reason, no, but because of the tilted headstock design it’s gonna be the first thing that hits the floor if you’re stupid enough to lean it against something vs keeping it in a stand when not used. Does QC suck, I’ve seen worse and I’ve seen better, but most everything I’ve seen is cosmetic and not glaring. Do they sound like mud, absolutely not, and they are much further from a one trick pony than any P bass I’ve owned. Ergonomics could be better for most people but there are folks that just fit a Tbird nicely, I’m one. Was their old CEO a moron, yes, fortunately that’s been corrected, but even if he was still there it wouldn’t even remotely come into my decision process to buy a Gibson. Heck look a Rickenbacker’s CEO and Warwick’s CEO - both can be complete tools, but their basses are stellar.
BTW - the Buzzard shaped headstock is not actually a Buzzard, it’s Alembics take on the Buzzard bass they custom designed and built for John Entwistle but unfortunately wasn’t completed before he passed away. They haven’t made many of them (maybe less than 25?) and it’s stunning in looks, sound and craftsmanship…

Ha I'm cry'n ! Oh to have a roadie again. Back in the 80's my Boston based band EXPOSE had a road crew, Paul "Spag" Spagnolia transported my rig from the rehersal hall to the venue, set it up exactly the way I liked it and at the end of the show tore it down and back to the rehersal space, while I always carried my beloved Tbirds. Paul took great care with my gear and I will forever be greatfull for all his work, support and friendship. That roadie's bass is fake. No tug bar. But Scott may not pay much so he likely does the best he can.
Which half?Just did half a thing…
