As long as we are on the subject of non-Thunderbird Gibson bass guitars we all have, here's the EB-2. I will have it foreverView attachment 1194608
It lived in a gig bag for years without damage, then I got a case that was too short. It lives in a proper case now, not the one in the picture.

When I hear Knight Rider (spelling aside) I think of thisHa! I prefer the Nightriders car

Yes... I DO need that!
Weird... I can't find it on eBay or Amazon...
Nope... not even. If I had the money, I'd buy the factory just to close it down and burn all the inventory. I've not seen one example of an electric guitar or bass with the name "Guild" on the headstock, that I found remotely attractive on any level. I've always loved semi-hollows, but Guild even managed to make those ugly. IMO... Guild electrics are the wart on the arse of the history of electrified musical instruments.
So like... 2 days ago then?
Couldn't sell them to the mass market cause Henry J would sue like no tomorrow, but keep them within the club. I like that idea, and we have a tool and die designer Mr. @Larry VYou could always re-tool all the machinery at the factory to produce Gibson instruments like we want them, and not like Henry J wants - Instead of burning it to the ground.![]()
It is a secret plan that we have been working on for years. We have not quite completed our mission but we are getting close. There are still a few very rare Birds to be had![]()
A successful return to the stage after surgery. Last night's set up just before we went on.
A double Bird affair.
Seriously, the EY Chinabuckers in my Gibson sound great at volume. I hope the Epi Vintage Pros come with the same pickups.

I like this pigI was a bit slow getting in to work this morning................. I saw the pig in question, he was quite large. Just another day in The Evergreen State!
Photos: Large pig hangs out I-5 near Federal Way
Of course. I just used the hyperbole to illustrate my disdain for Guild's designs. Yer outa yer mind if ya think I'd toss away an opportunity to build proper neck-thru birds (reverse and non) with ginormo-nex (patent pending)You could always re-tool all the machinery at the factory to produce Gibson instruments like we want them, and not like Henry J wants - Instead of burning it to the ground.![]()

That a lawsuit pig?

Actually... I would do what I feel should be the bare minimum for all mass producers of stringed instruments. I would offer all models in the customers' choice of "traditional" (thin), "modern" (medium), and "slugger" (large) neck profiles![]()
I like where this conversation is going![]()
I like yer thinkin'!Do you know these shows, where they take one's 200$ car and flip em until he/she gets his dream car?
Here's your challenge. Sell the LP and flip until you can buy Guild and build your own fat-bird.
Someone here will write a book about it: Double profit.
Or a book called "Easiest Way To Rob A Bank... Without Getting Caught"I like yer thinkin'!
First... somebody's gonna hafta write a book called "How to Turn 1500bux Into Millions Before Running Out of Patience & Blowing the Whole Wad on a Bass"
I've already been through the second one. I'm afraid it's a bit rudimentary. Not much help for a coup of this magnitude. That first one sounds promising thoughOr a book called "Easiest Way To Rob A Bank... Without Getting Caught"
Or "Bank Robbing For Dummies"
