Yeah, but those pups had exposed pole pieces, if they had metal covers it would have sounded more like Metalica.

@GBassNorth, you mentioned Calabasas. Have you ever run into Stuttering John around town? I'm a huge Stern fan and that would be cool to see him just being John.

'twas the '80's my friend. Though the coke was running' pretty free at the time... the '80's didn't require it's assistance for such fashion "statements"!

I did want to reply to that thread and ask about tape-covered pickups, but I didn't want to get involved.
