THANK GOD there's another human who has seen that movie!!! I've only met one other person who's seen it... and that was the guy who showed it to me! I've only been able to talk 2 people into watching it with me, & both of them had to be talked out of calling the nuthouse on my behalf when it was over. It seems people's taste/tolerance for the absurd, just ain't what it used to be:rollno:

If we're talking about the Terry Gilliam movie - Then I've seen it too, several times! :)

Actually I think a white bird would look absolutely amazing with gold hardware - Only problem is, it's virtually impossible to source a gold 3-point bridge, unless you either go Bbicz or Hipshot.... :(
Gold over white definitely works:thumbsup:

I think gold CAN look good on any of the 3 TBird colours. I think it's @rodv66 that has the burst Epi with gold hardware that looks pretty slick, and gold on black could look awesome too.
I'm with Pillo I prefer the look of black hardware on white, but I wouldn't turn down a white Vintage TBird either.
As for black TBird's, they can go either way, before I got my 2013 TBird I'd say chrome all day. But something about it with the black hardware, black dome knobs, and white pg, made me like it just as much as if it were chrome

I know I recently said that the temperature in the State of Canada is going down, but Mother Nature decided to make a liar out of me. There is currently a heat warning in my area, yesterday had a high of 41C (105F for you weirdos in the rest of the States) with humidity, today is roughly the same. AT THE END OF SEPTEMBER! Thanks Trudeau :roflmao:

We are getting a little heat wave down here in NYC, I can't stand it!

My rant is specifically regarding his lack of knowledge of his product. I mean... there are only 3 main Gibson style knobs... Top Hat, Bell, & Speed. It mystifies me how people in the business of selling guitars/guitar accessories wouldn't know that, and want to get it right in their sales schmaltz. The main reason it's a peeve of mine is because, now... because of schmucks like him... I have 7,000 postings to sift through instead of like, the 20 or whatever, that actually are Top Hats. Of course it's a common problem with a massive variety of products... but that one would be so easily avoided. All they'd have to do, is know what the product is that they are selling. I would think that would be rule #1 in the book... or maybe I'm just gettin' old...

There are also Witch Hats, and the Top Hats are also called Reflector Knobs... :)

The thing I don't like about the bell knob, is that it's stubbier than the top hat, and nearly all of the gripping surface is curved. For whatever reason... this makes my pinky slip over the surface. I don't have that issue with the speed knobs or top hats. The top hats look great, they're comfortable and familiar, & I don't have to think about 'em:thumbsup:
There's always the PRS lampshade, my favorite along with speed knobs.
