Just out of interest..... Has anyone got an opinion on the ESP LTD Stream models. The [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] with the "walnut" natural flame finish keeps catching my eye. ;)

220 posts later: I've played both the LTD and Japanese made ESP Streams, and really like 'em both. Of course the ESP is a much better made bass, but that's what you're paying more for. I would also say that if you want one and can swing it, grab it. Seems that ESP has slimmed the Stream offerings down which might mean they're considering dropping it from the line.

Its gnarly as hell, very demonic sound. What pickups are in that beast?.
Not sure if it's a vintage T-bird or one that's just been chromed out. So either vintage pickups or one of the various recreations.

I'm so the opposite of you gang.
I prefer lighter strings. On my EADG tuned basses, I use 40-100s. On my BEAD tuned basses, I use 60, 80, 100, 130.

I put the bridge pickup in the neck position on the '91 and use the bridge pickup as a little balance, but that's it. I'm not sure I like it that way. But, really, I want to put Thunderbuckers in it. I'm deciding between a 63 set or a 66 set. Right now I'm leaning toward the 66 set, but that could change by tomorrow.
You can mix & match ya know...
