I get that now that Ive been schooled on the subject, I didnt think my lack of knowledge would have called for the amputation of childrens fingers and my country to be viewed as uncivilized though. I own neither soap box nor pulpet. I speak solely from my personal experiences, observations, and feelings on the matter. I have to assume that, what's actually involved with the process of declawing a pet, is not necessarily common knowledge... because it's hard to imagine a right-minded, stable, rational person that would think it's acceptable to do that to another living creature at ALL, but especially for nothing more than convenience! Just as sure as they have soft fur and cute little noses... cats have claws, and will instinctively use them. If you can't handle that... then you don't want a cat. It's just that simple.
