Looks like I'm gonna have to pop on over to a string forum to get an answer on my VP TBird G string question - wish me luck out there in the genpop world, it can be a rough crowd.

Kat responded with a Ken Smith option that meets the 49" minimum requirement but I'd like some other options as well. So if anyone else out there knows of a G string that's at least 49" in length I'm all ears.

That’s good! I don’t really sweat it much except when I’m the front person. Even then I don’t sweat it too much

Considering how comparatively cheap strap locks (and Loctite) are, you'd be crackers NOT to use them. Once they have been Loctited together, lock assemblies really shouldn't come apart, although it doesn't hurt to check on occasion.

Though I don't see the overall string lengths listed, but I gotta believe that these "extra long scale" options would hafta work...

There are many reasons that a company would object to their brand being put into a movie/tv show. Could be as simple as the situation not being consistent with brand image.

But, discussing with the company is actually pretty easy. On a corporate to corporate level, you are not going through the customer service channels.

I was always of the impression that it was the musicians that covered the names up, because they didn't want to advertise for the manufacturers without an endorsement deal.

Why not contact Jason from BassStringsOnline, he might help you out, and maybe make a custom set for you..?

It is a trademark problem. If you display nothing, no problem. However, to display a brand, you need a license to it. For the trademark holder, if you don't pursue unlicensed use of your trademark, you lose it. So, if a film/TV producer uses a trademark without license (i.e. the 7ender logo) and the trademark holder does not pursue the infringement, they could be in danger of losing it (making all those 7ender waterslides legal).
