Good as that is, it's better yet when that that second pup isn't there at all.
Back when I wanted a Thunderbird built for me by Mike Lull, there was no doubt or question in my mind - it had to be a single pick up bass.

If I ever get one made, it’ll be a single pickup for sure
That bridge pick up is starting to feel like a tone control. It may have to come out. Even worse, Might have to figure on how I can afford a build from Carlo.

Looking forward to giving the yba 200-2 a spin at practice today. Now debating whether to bring the 1822 or the 212. Might take both just to see which works best

I think it's a plot by those darn Spector boys to get us off our game and keep us from responding to other TBird club member posts. Really a sneaky way of staying ahead if you ask me. 
I'll show them, I won't play any of my Spectors today! Come to think of it, I haven't played any of them since I got my Eppi VP Bird.

PSA: The Epiphone Thunderbird Vintage PRO does not fit in Gator Transit Bass gigbags, even with the top and bottom extra padding removed. Is there a decent gig bag that definitely fits this particular bass?
I'm not getting any post notifications from other threads either.
I think it also has something to due with Gene Simmons' Spector era. All the talk here about Gene Simmons and not one mention of when he used a Spector... It definitely has something to due with it!

Ha! Well, then I’m at 2.67 ohms. There’s only a 8/4 ohm tap on this amp, though I’ve heard they work just fine at 2ohms. Would hate to smoke the amp on its first outing
Not exactly what I had in mind. I was thinking more like bring both, and try each one. Ya can't play two basses at the same time, but you can bring both..... wait..... can you play two basses at the same time?! That's be some crazy talent!!

I think that latter course of action is what you need to do Jeff, variety is good, Carlo will make you a beautiful bass.
I'm still keeping a T-bucker Ranch in my crosshairs, that 66s. And any thoughts about best position, or how to find it, for my particular bass will come up when it's relevant. I'm going to keep on with this beater-stick, great player.
I'd really like to make the single-pickup idea work as it should (recently removed the bridge pup, @hillerup has it now), not so sure the Deep Sixx is the one for this. But I'll keep it even if it gets replaced- tomorrow never knows, I've been wrong before...

Speaking of beautiful - Veronica, on an unrelated note - are you still playing the stock strings on your new VP? I'm still looking for others experience on what works best for this Bird. Right now I'm leaning towards flats (my other two birds have Rounds and tapes).
