That's a fairly disturbing thing to think about. Especially as an Episcopalian - all the advantages of being Catholic, except no Pope and no guilt! Plus, everything is optional. Can't beat that.

17th century guns were prone to misfiring. A good ol' pike would be a better option for coercion.
Don't think that is hasn't occurred to me that it would be a marvellous idea to confine the Taliban and the KJVs somewhere with period correct armaments (none of this apostate science stuff allowed) and let them have at it to their hearts' content ... and leave the rest of us the fvck alone.
Keep your good ol' pike next to your trusty theremin.
