OMG - We need to have a Talk Bass Thunderbird Club Field Trip to that museum. Of course out of common courtesy we should notify them ahead of time that they'll need a janitor with mop bucket and lots of glass cleaning rags to clean up all the finger, nose and tongue prints from the glass and the drool and other discharge on the floor.

The next question is does it want a nice slab of pearloid on it, or no PG for maximum in your face fuschia flake eye-ache?

That is a good question. I still haven't gotten my over-the-top P-bass put together to post here. But you might recall that I posted a link to G&L site, with all of their metal flake basses. Most of them look cool to me because they don't have a pickguard and you see the amazing finish. It is hard to do that with a routed P-bass body. So, I opted for a silver sparkle pickguard, which actually takes a pearloid vibe, when contrasted with the orange flake.

The bird guard doesn't obscure as much of body as P-bass pickguard. So, you don't have that same issue.

That is a good price. I paid about $450 for body and headstock. But that included stripping original paint off of body and shipping.
