We aren't too kind. We are actually jerks. You and the kid are just good, which means that we can't say the kinds of awful things we would say to most people. Geez, I hate people with talent! That darn talent and skill ruin all the insulting fun!

You guys are awesome, but nice try :)

I've had a hot day in the sun and I'm about well done.

Seeing as you guys had a big part in my headstock design I thought I'd post a picture of the dragon inlay here first, OK it's not inlaid yet but it gives a good idea. I very nearly fvcked up big style due to my poor knowledge of written Welsh, "the dragon" is "y ddraig", "dragon" is "draig" so nearly a horrendous mistake there :roflmao: Wendy came to the rescue with that one, everyone should have a Wendy :) I have got hold of some lovely dark Abalone shell to do the text so I'm going to run with that.

The inlay has it's top surface glued to the paper so what you see is a mirror image of what will be the final thing

A-Mazing!:wideyed::jawdrop:

No time for a full gig report, but thought I’d share some pics from my sub gig playing a wedding on Saturday.
I have my regular band, but subbing is working out pretty well these days!
Yes I played Ipanema and Autumn Leaves, but Treasure by Bruno Mars was fun (look it up), I had a great meal with a nice IPA, was home by 10:30 and got $200. And I managed a one trip load in/out with my little rig!

Can’t beat the scenery if nothing else!

Draig is also better as a name I think.

Edit: for @Christine
Logo below (on a lunch box) of my fave Rugby League club, from which I take my screen name. Can you guess why I liked your Dragon name... and your inlay. :thumbsup:

Looks lovely, and pretty posh if you ask me.
Your Black JC looks sweet.

I know. The bandleader could have called Holiday in Cambodia and I'd be ready! That said I did a sub gig with a pretty heavy originals band (Sabbath-Zeppelinish riffs) the Friday before in a grungy old club for an audience of about 20 - and got to play my VP really loud:hyper:

It was a nice room er.... boathouse? It was floating but I didn't notice any movement.
I've got Labella flats on the JC and it's perfect for those sorts of gigs. Roll back the tone and play toward the neck for the mellow stuff. Then turn up the tone a little and I can dig in and pop for the some nice burpy funk tones.
