Yeah, but in all fairness our Queen plays with hers on very elaborate HO scale landscapes and tracks.
Where do you play with yours? I still have mine but haven't played with it in decades, not sure it even works anymore.

Odd question time.
We still have no guitarist. I’m not a guitarist so Ive been idlely thinking of a multi string bass.
So thoughts on Bass VI style or an 8 string?
I have a (passing?) fancy to buy a Pitbull EB/SG 30” scale bass kit and assemble as an 8 string. Thoughts on pickup placement - mid ?

Edit: I should add we are doing mostly folky stuff, some old country and traditional songs

Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers, and Ann Wilson tonight!

Ann Wilson was good but not great. She belted out some great covers of the Who - The Real Me and Won't Get Fooled Again and Barracuda was great. But some of the other arrangements weren't how I would have chosen to present the songs. Some of the covers she chose I didn't think were the best choices either.

Paul Rodgers was fantastic. He alternated between Free and Bad Company songs and really got the crowd going. His band is great (bass payer was playing an SG all night).

Holy crap was Jeff Beck great. He played straight through - no talking, just playing. And the band are all great players. The drummer had a great grip on his dynamics - loud and quiet as the song dictates. And Rhonda Smith is a fantastic bass player - better than Tal Wilkenfeld in my opinion. Jeff lets his band shine. A couple of short, very well done drum solos and Rhonda had several bass solos. Rhonda uses that same flamenco technique that Les Claypool and Geddy Lee use.
