Ann Wilson was good but not great. She belted out some great covers of the Who - The Real Me and Won't Get Fooled Again and Barracuda was great. But some of the other arrangements weren't how I would have chosen to present the songs. Some of the covers she chose I didn't think were the best choices either.

Paul Rodgers was fantastic. He alternated between Free and Bad Company songs and really got the crowd going. His band is great (bass payer was playing an SG all night).

Holy crap was Jeff Beck great. He played straight through - no talking, just playing. And the band are all great players. The drummer had a great grip on his dynamics - loud and quiet as the song dictates. And Rhonda Smith is a fantastic bass player - better than Tal Wilkenfeld in my opinion. Jeff lets his band shine. A couple of short, very well done drum solos and Rhonda had several bass solos. Rhonda uses that same flamenco technique that Les Claypool and Geddy Lee use.
Dunno why Geddy calls it "flamenco technique", it's nothing like flamenco "rasgueado".
This is a SH!T hot clip of Paco with virtuoso Carles Benavent on a fretless EB-2. Old, so not the best sound quality but man oh man!...

Sorry. Next time I'll put quotes around the name of the technique so as not to offend :D

Regardless, she uses that same technique that Geddy and Les use.

Fun fact - during Jeff Beck, no one on stage was using a pick...

All I can say is WOW!

I have never seen a fretless EB-2 before. I wonder if the fretboard was replaced or if Gibson made it like that.

I know, gas? it's a liquid! Hood and trunk make sense, better sense than ours but gas I can't see :help:

Gas = contraction of gasoline.
Petrol is the Commonwealth term for gasoline, we colonists do things a better way! :roflmao:
