Agreed. I have LaBella Black tapewounds on my Goth Bird and I love the sound!

I am going to try tapes on the 2015 soon. I have never put tapes on anything yet, so this will be a new experiment. I expectexpect a cooler, bluer sound with less shine, but I don't really know yet.

Not sure you'll like the La Bella Black tapes with those pups. The 2015 bird has the ultra dynamic pup and control set (like my 2013EB). I tried black tapes on it and thought they choked the top end too much. If you really want tapes for that Bird consider trying La Bella white copper tape wound strings, much broader range of tones from these strings vs blacks. Check out the tape wound club before you buy.

YOU HAVE A HAGSTROM BASS. I'm a bit jealous. My first electric guitar was a seriously abused Hagstrom 1. It became a mod platform. I still have it and love it.

Bet they'd work good on the '91. The CB's are inherently aggressive. So i'm guessing that might be a good match.

I wear these when playing out. An old pair of Rivers boots, model name long forgotten. But the sole has aged to the point that it has cracked through at the flex point.

I wear these for work, a pair of RM Williams Comfort Tambo. (Extra width model).

Unfortunately, they only come in Black or Chestnut. I would prefer a tan or dark tan (similar to the Rivers) for wearing with jeans & moleskin.
I’m in two minds about the Chestnut. Unfortunately, Dark Tan (looks great to my eye) would be a special order and these things are expensive enough...

I’ll ponder for a while longer... but I may just bite the Chestnuts (oops?) and tell myself I love ‘em.

I put Dr Scholl’s gel soles in the Vans. Perfection.
I get them a half size larger for this; otherwise they're too tight. The upsize works great for me, because I have wide feet, and Vans aren't really made for wide feet.

Much change for me of late. Finally ditched the job I hated working 2nd shift for one that I really like. I'm an HR Technician at a prison now, and loving it. My previous band Threshing Floor has ended so I started looking to get something else going with no luck. I got a call from a drummer I know from the scene and we're working on a 90's cover band that should be ready to gig in a month or two. I also had to replace my truck. My radiator cracked on the way home from work a couple weeks ago. I got another radiator and got back to it the next day. Turns out somebody cut out and stole my catalytic converter. It was the straw that broke the camel's back and it got parked. I got a good deal on am 09 PT Cruiser. I rather like the Homely Turtle.
