Pretty much a pose-killer, that. Yep, I'm hearing it.

I was in an Ozzy tribute for a short spell, we had to wear wigs. It was a hoot, I looked more like David Grohl with an eating disorder than Bob Daisely or Rudy Sarzo... Now I'm pretty happy with a nearly shaved head and my old torn up sport coat.

There’s still a fair amount of 2 ohm capable amps out there. My Mesa D800 can do it. My Sunn Colliseum absolutely needs it...my Traynor...might? Can’t remember
I bought an Epi T Bird Pro several years back for $250 at GC as a beater bass so I wouldnt have to take my boutique basses out. Odd thing was people kept coming up and saying how good it looked (expected) and how good it sounded (a surprise). I guess I stumbled on the right mix of bass, strings, amp & speakers, settings and playing style to get "my sound". Works for everything from rock to jazz. I thought it was just me , but the peoples comments plus the beater bass being selected for a recording session by the producer says I am on to something.

I found out over the weekend that Mike Inez was in Ozzy's band before joining Alice in Chains. Who'd a thunk it?Right??

Attended the local TB-GTG/Emerald City Bass Con yesterday, and i just wanted to say how much @Goalee & @TBird1958 were notably missed (at least when i was there), didn't see ANY birds/bird shaped instruments in attendance, either 
. Was hoping somebody might have brought one of the Epi VPs to try.
It was still fun though... highlights for me besides seeing some old/new faces to put names too, was to have a go at a sweet 2014 red Ric with a pick, & plugging an unmarked jazz into the newish Genzler Magellan. Though conditions weren't ideal to hear the Magellan's little bit of dial twisting i did, that red Ric thru a Portaflex had zero problem cutting thru all those simultaneous low rumbles emanating well out into the parking lot
