Any of y'all got good recommendations for good Nitro refinishers? I've been contemplating doing it myself, but I don't really have the space or gear currently to do it myself. I contacted Johnk_10 since he's close by, but unfortunately he doesn't do set neck instruments of this size. So then I contacted MJT, but they only do finishes with some level of aging and I want it looking fresh so I can beat it to hell over the years. Waiting to hear back from RS Guitarworks, but is there anyone else y'all'd recommend?
There's a couple places up here that do it. I assume they use nitro, but I do not know for sure.

Uphill both ways! lol I get it though. I hate riding Harley’s especially in stop and go traffic. I’d rather do anything else until the traffic subsides....obviously you couldn’t.... with old Harley though you could bum start them..... put em in first clutch in and run like hell up to a decent speed drop the clutch and let her roar.... had to do that once like seven times an a two hour trip....shovel head choppers are cool as hell.... I was a kid...

I had to bump start this until I could afford a new starter. But being stuck on a 15-20 degree uphill incline, there was no way I was going to try.

Me too. Pelham Blue. I actually say a prayer every night that Epi will make one based on the VP.

I have never really wanted an NR. If someone gave me one, I'd play it for a while to give it a fair shake, but I suspect I'd eventually trade it for the original shape.

Right there with ya.

Marty Bell Finishing - PREMIER GUITAR FINISHING
He's done great work for me in the past.

The funny thing is I have no interest in a NR. Reverse is the shape that works for me in all ways. Why mess that up? I even try to get other shapes to behave like a reverse Thunderbird.
Since I've never held one I don't know if I'll like it, but I sure wanna find out.

I’d be fine with that. Maybe if we make enough noise. Per a previous post somewhere back a couple of weeks, it sounds like they are well aware of our desire for one.
I personally wouldn't bat an eye at paying as much as $1000 for an Eppi VP based NR in a vintage color.

What kind of kit? Parts unknown? :D

This is what it says on the back of the headstock:

Here's some quick noodling on the Green Bastard, just to give you an idea of the tone of this cheap kit. Don't mind the sloppy playing, just did some noodling to show the different tones of 2 pickups. Starts out both pickups full, then some of just the bridge PU, then ends with full neck PU. Considering its all stock parts still, I was really happy with how this bass turned out.
