Well, I’m getting back into a bit more guitar and am really GASing for a Tele. And I’m also on the lookout for a decent keyboard. I’m thinking a used mid-priced model Yamaha? Haven’t played piano for years, other than occasionally messing around on my old upright when I visit my brother. Don’t need either one, but I want a good foundation n pace when I finally retire and have time.....
Try a G&L ASAT during your search for a Tele... you will be pleasantly surprised

This is my keyboard of choice: [This invalid link has been removed]

Akai huh, had an Alkai Cassette deck back in the day; they made decent audio gear. Thanks for the tip. As for G&L, like them. Nice guitars and basses. But I’m shallow and the headstock is, well...

Nice controller, a friend recently bought an Arturia...seems like the Germans and French are starting to dominate that market..

I've used Akai for 10+years and have used them on the road. I've killed 3 Novation controllers ON STAGE and have never had one issue with an Akai product. We had an endorsement deal with Novation, otherwise I'd have pitched the first one in the dumpster at the venue before we left for the next city  I've got no relationship with Akai, their products are just bulletproof

the rig is very bright sounding. 6 SWR (EDEN) 10" drivers and two 2" drivers. The original capacitors were .047s (if I recall) and these will attenuate lower frequencies more than a capacitor twice it's side like a .1.
The result is, a much brighter setup right off the bat that requires the bass frequencies to be boosted at the amp level. With the mods to the bass the initial setup has more bass response which makes EQ at the amp less necessary....make sense?..
I love it when you talk dirty!

I don't know that you can "sight read" something that you have seen many times unless you have a great faculty for obliviation.

I treat sheet music like cue cards - a reminder of what needs to be played in case you forget. So, for example, the pieces I work on for lessons, I end up internalizing to some extent. I couldn't play any of them off the top of my head, but with sheet music in front of me, the cues remind me of where we are going.

I agree, but I have the ‘advantage’ of starting from scratch on this. So seeing these for the first time, and then a few more times as I try to get it right. Just exercise stuff atm - except for ‘Happy Birthday’ of course.

Never had any bass clef stuff to play from before just treble clef or lyric sheets to which I’ve scribbled my own directions over

idiots..TR-2s are awesome..
Mine was the long-door kind. Serial number TS321L. Meaning that it was mostly a prototype. It had been raced and pretty well bent by the time I had it. It was the perfect car. The motor turned the wheels and made enough electricity to operate lights. No radio, no heater, no nothing.

Just as it should be for the young gentleman-racer-about-town. Anything more would be superfluous.
