Thunderbird Club

I don't have time today, but tomorrow should be a new string day. Thunderbird string experiments continue. Rotos are good, but I think I am more inclined to use nickel. At some point I will try Roto nickels, but not this time. I decided that EB is worth a trial. There are lots of great players that use EB, but they have techs to put new strings on all their basses before each show and they get their strings free.

Tell me about your white strap. I too have one for my white VP but my neck is VERY brown and yours seems to be of the darker kind that ties in quite well with the pups and hardware. Sometimes I wonder if I should change it to a brown.

Do you feel the strap color should match the white bass? Do you change to other colors based on shirt color? Do you have a dorsal fin???

THX

I don't support Walmart, I support me. And the poor shlubs who WORK at Walmart.

IMO there are plenty of nice shades of white from Duplicolor for a better price and the same or better quality at your LOCAL auto parts store.:)
you can call it anything you want, Walmart profits from your "... I support me. And the poor shrubs who work...". Paint that tard any color you want its still a tard. You support Walmart.

I don’t shop there but it is b/c the ones near me anyway are filthy, crap is everywhere, and the customers are nasty.

I do Target. This probably just as bad from a certain point of view.

Bass solos came up a while back, I just ran across a fun one. This dude is really good, has his own thing going on, the Mark King electrical tape around the thumb thing notwithstanding, :D.

It's like someone held a talent contest at Guitar Center.:smug:
I nearly despise slap when done sparingly. I absolutely despise it in a 5 minute solo, talent or not (which this player has gobs of). :rollno:
JMHO, YMMV, TETO:thumbsup:

I'm not a fan of blowing chops, which this definitely is! But it was a fun gag, kind of a circus act. I just enjoyed the dynamics and phrasing, even the sound of the instrument. A bunch of elements kicked around into a little too-tall house of cards.
I have no need to aspire to it, I just took it for what it is. Skills for sure.

They are cute little critters! Wasn't aware of the connection of foxes to bats.

They are also known as fruit bats, which is a more accurate name. There are large fig trees over the road and during the warmer months they fly in at dusk and spend the night feeding, chattering and flying past the balcony. I absolutely love them.

Looks like the dude in the bottom photo will be reporting you as a potential terrorist. Have fun in Guantanamo...

Or Rikers maybe from the looks of the cage and locks! They're not taking you away are they?:D

Seems like i've already got the luck of the irish here. Was invited from some of the neighbors down the block to join in on their Bbq. All i did was walk by, and then came the invite. Bunch of great people too!
