Necessity is the mother of invention. You are not one to bide your time.
And sometimes, necessity is a mother.....Necessity is the mother of invention.

Lol...And sometimes, necessity is a mother.....![]()
That would be an awesome first or second or third Thunderbird. A VP is also a good idea. Around here, the real answer is both. And probably another one to keep them company.I was eyeing that. Would that be a good My First Thunderbird or should I stick with my plan of getting a Epi VP?
My P-Bird is a Lowe neck and body. I can't say enough good things about them.Bought a neck from Brad. Most excellent. I’d buy another, fact was looking for a body just to buy another neck
Does yours have that bottle opener headstock? My P-Bird is a Lowe neck and body. I can't say enough good things about them.
Yes that really is GL on the recording. Not sure that he was really paid $10.

That seems like a Hell of a deal for a custom made Thunderbird!!! Brad Lowe is a member here and at the Last Bass Outpost. If I hadn't just bought the StatusBird (with a Lowe body) I would jump on that!!
Any guess as to the pickup brand?
They look like his proprietary pickups. I believe he offered a couple different versions that you could change if you wanted to. @BeeTL any insight you can provide?
hmmmm....maple....love maple...Yes, that's a hell of a deal, if only for the parts.
Those are Lollar Thunderbirds and all of the metal work including the custom rigs, control plate, and bridge are manufactured by Hipshot.
A previous owner added a Lull pickguard, and it's not a perfect fit.

I hate your posts. That would be an awesome first or second or third Thunderbird. A VP is also a good idea. Around here, the real answer is both. And probably another one to keep them company.
they are sooo cool...."7 females at a Rush show...must be a world record"....LMAO..
No - it's a 7ender shaped headstock. The last of the "lawsuit Lowe" necks.Does yours have that bottle opener headstock?
Dayum! That's an even better deal than I thought it was originally.Yes, that's a hell of a deal, if only for the parts.

It's skewed slightly to accommodate the bridge pickup ring, and my necks have headstock adjust truss rods.

Why, thank you. That's the nicest thing anybody said to me all week!I hate your posts.
(Edit... well, this one!)
Dayum! That's an even better deal than I thought it was originally.
There's so much to like about that one that it would be worth buying and fixing the screw holes after ditching the ugly pickguard. I don't want a NR, or it would be a prime candidate. If it didn't have the poorly installed pickguard, I'd consider buying it to resell myself.

Here's some train gear you might not have... the "Lady Lionel"
