Thunderbird Club

I was eyeing that. Would that be a good My First Thunderbird or should I stick with my plan of getting a Epi VP?
That would be an awesome first or second or third Thunderbird. A VP is also a good idea. Around here, the real answer is both. And probably another one to keep them company.

Another Thunderbird relative:

That seems like a Hell of a deal for a custom made Thunderbird!!! Brad Lowe is a member here and at the Last Bass Outpost. If I hadn't just bought the StatusBird (with a Lowe body) I would jump on that!!

Yes, that's a hell of a deal, if only for the parts.

A previous owner added a Lull pickguard, and it's not a perfect fit.

It's skewed slightly to accommodate the bridge pickup ring, and my necks have headstock adjust truss rods.

Any guess as to the pickup brand?

They look like his proprietary pickups. I believe he offered a couple different versions that you could change if you wanted to. @BeeTL any insight you can provide?

Those are Lollar Thunderbirds and all of the metal work including the custom rings, control plate, and bridge are manufactured by Hipshot.

Dayum! That's an even better deal than I thought it was originally.

If it didn't have the poorly installed pickguard, I'd consider buying it to resell myself.
There's so much to like about that one that it would be worth buying and fixing the screw holes after ditching the ugly pickguard. I don't want a NR, or it would be a prime candidate.

Here's some train gear you might not have... the "Lady Lionel"

It was posted in a different thread (Things You Don't See Anymore)

My local train shop deals with a lot of used Lionel (I don't care for it personally, looks too toy like) and got one of those sets in as part of an Estate sale, easily worth well over a grand to the right lunatic.
Something I shot the other morning, this is a "waffle side" car, used to move lumber and in some cases copper bullion, the "waffles are indentations on the interior of the car that allow for load securement. The model stated as something else similar, I added the waffles and custom painted the car.
