Thanks. Interesting little thing.
It’s a 75 Marauder. Alder body, bolt on Maple neck, Bill Lawrence designed pickups.Great scene, nice room / studio.
In the third photo, what is the Gibson guitar hanging on the wall?
It has a Vee style headstock and looks to have a Telecaster style bridge pickup.
It’s a weird Gibson, but still a very nice guitar. My buddy played it in our hardcore band in the early 80’s. I bought it from the estate when he passed a few years ago.It is. I've never gotten my hands on one. I know they aren't exactly common, but I've gotten to play rarer guitars.
A bit of clarification. This group existed 70-72 and played shows at junior and senior high schools. We did as many assembly type shows as needed for all the students to see us in one day, then came back the following night for a(paid admission) concert. "Immigrant Song" was our opener-at as early as 7 A.M. The opening scream was, uh.........challenging. Whatever school we played Monday, the concert would be Tuesday night, after playing 3-4 assemblies at another school Tuesday. This, of course, required moving all the gear twice on Tuesday(and each other weekday):Guitarist-Gibson SG>2 Vox Super Beatles[2 heads/2 6x12 cabs], bass man-Rickenbacker> V4B w/ 2 2x15 cabs, drummer-2 bass drums, snare, 3 mounted toms, 2 floor toms and a shipload of cymbals, organist-Vox Continental organ>Leslie cab(mic'ed into my Kasino bass amp)plus Martin alto sax and Gemeinhardt flute, and our PA which consisted of a 5 channel mixer>Dynaco preamp>Binson Echorec>Crown DC-300 power amp in a custom built cabinet-on wheels>4 Altec Voice of the Theater Utility cabs.Group consisted of guitar, bass(not me), drums, and keys(Vox Continental organ)/sax/flute(me) so whatever songs we did I pretty much held chords so the guitarist could go nuts.

Awesome!
Drummers.... Good luck. Fingers crossed and a rain dance performed for good measure.Drummer audition tomorrow ... fingers crossed.
'58 would have been a good year for a T-Bird. I have a Pbass that year. It's amazing. Not as amazing as an my 64 T-Bird, but amazing nonetheless. And '58 for that matter. We'd be paying quite the premium if they were made back then.
Thanks! Sounds like I should explore the HPF. I have a warm sounding ampeg head and cab, so clack and glassy is not an issue for me. Cutting out some of the unusable/barely hearable lows seems like a good way to get a tad more focus. As a clumsy way to word it.All rigs? Maybe. I do not need it as much with the big Acoustic and a Thunderbird as with the little Carvin combo and upright. That said, it is always on and has some magic dust that makes the sound clearer. The hpf side cuts low undertones that sap amp capacity. It also helps with boomy rooms. The lpf side cuts the top which reduces fret click and finger noise. Combined, it makes the bass project and sit in a mix better. It makes no sense that it would so that, but it does.
STOP IT! I don't need to spend any more money. There will be NBDs all ‘round after Epi announces the NR Vintage Pro at Summer NAMM. It. Will. Happen.
LOL - that's probably because I've never listened to Neil in a drug induced stupor.
Paul Stanley really liked those....It’s a weird Gibson, but still a very nice guitar. My buddy played it in our hardcore band in the early 80’s. I bought it from the estate when he passed a few years ago.
The problem with so many 'rock gods' is they are living legends.
+1So I’m not big on peddles, but the way you all wax on about the merits of those filter things, maybe.
You need spoon man!OT.
Still looking to get more, different, music into our group which has morphed into a singing group with accordion accompaniment.
So, I had a chat with my music teacher and we went through some melody options that I might get up on fairly quickly (in a limited sense).
Conclusion was ukelele.
Another plus being two other members play in a uke band on the side. 3 being > 2 may encourage them to get on it as well.
Any thoughts ? (I have been eyeing off a banjo uke just to be different, but maybe a few too many $ for an experiment.)
Apart from the accordion, I have my bass, a kazoo and a washboard tie. Looking for tapping sticks as well.
2 have ukes but don’t bring them.
1 plays guitar and mandolin but doesn’t attend often due to having a young child. 1 plays a tambourine (LOUDLY) at any moment, and one has just picked up a bodhran (small) and has a slide whistle.
Just waiting for someone with a partridge and pear tree.
I’m thinking I should be able to herd them towards using some various combinations of those for a few songs. Some oldtimey stuff I guess.
Does it sound at least possible?
( Trying to 1. Break up 100% accordion, and 2. Options if accordion man can’t attend. )
Sorry for the ramble but it is doing my head in a bit.
They're gettin' thereYou’d prefer they were dead?

Ah to be young and have no inkling of creaky joints!A bit of clarification. This group existed 70-72 and played shows at junior and senior high schools. We were a lot younger then.
Funny aside: I remember all that crap and can't remember all the lyrics to "Old Time Rock and Roll"-which I sing on each of our gigs.![]()
ah, but you do, young padwan...STOP IT! I don't need to spend any more money.
But....if they do, I probably will.![]()
The room sounds pretty good, but with a full band is at its acoustic limit. I put in my earplugs after the first song. That is great! The room looks like it could have some acoustic challenges. I see rods instead of sticks in the drummer's hands. That would help.
The singer is my daughter, drummer is the son of the drummer in my cover band, the guitarist by the Marauder is my daughter’s ex (there is dramaSuper cool. That even looks like a Real Bass[tm].
Who's whom?
