Ta.
Dr suggested going to 24 month checks but I requested we stay at 12 months.
You can’t. Her un auto tuned voice is horrible. And certain friends of mine hear don’t like Neil Young. Go figure.
The original samick neck is on a kit bass I'm building for granddaughter to mess with. She's only 18 month old but likes the sound of my grabber copy.View attachment 3447136This is the kitView attachment 3447137
right with you on that...if it's got 4 strings, is tuned in 4ths and the lowest string is tuned to 41.2Hz I DIG IT!!+1 I know that I’m on here because I love basses, almost all basses. I am a member of the Thunderbird Club because, for one, a Thunderbird chose me, two, the members here rock in more ways than one and three, the members here ROCK!
Sounds like you need one. We are here to enable. I let my first 'Bird go. It was a mistake! I understand your pain.*sigh* ... I miss my T-Bird. Shouldna sold it. Alpine white classic iv Epi, to which I added a black pickguard, she was a sight to see and sound to hear...
It is a little oddly proportioned, but it is only a couple hours away...Hey I’ve never seen one of these before:

All else aside it appears to be a mahogany neck through Tbird shaped object...

I don't think that was without autotune - I think it is a prank. There are many like this on the yoot oobs.
I like Neil Young songs.
I don't like Neil Young's nasal, whiny voice.
I hate Neil Young's politics. I'm glad he and Justin Bieber has chosen to live in LA rather than Canada.
Please tell me you didn't position and mic an empty hiwatt cab in front of the SWR 4X. It would shatter my image of your god like sound.View attachment 3447165 .....The usual Hiwatt/Thunderbird setup....
LOL - yes, just a bit more grunt than an upscale Imp.
Fender Antigua is one of those finishes that starts out looking unique, maybe cool in a different strokes kind of way. Then as it ages it starts to take on a faded split pea soup appearance eventually turning to a pale yellow/green baby $h;t dirty diaper look. Not my favorite aged finish.Don't! T-Birds deserve a better finish!![]()
To my ears, the classic pro IV sounds good but not in a traditional Thunderbird way, it could just as easily be an Ibanez or Yamaha bass. The VP on the other hand sounds great in a very classic rock way, a bit more raw and rowdy, a little less refined. If both basses were offered at the same price I'd go for the VP hands down no questions asked. JMHOAny mentionnable tone difference between Epi classic pro iv and the more recent vintage pro models ?
Yes! You can't go wrong with a VP.Yup, that's the way I remember my Bird sounding. I think I might be into that new aggressive sounding Bird...
I had an opportunity to play a Gibson Bird (unshure make and year, but recent) a few months ago in a shop, it belonged to another customer who let me try it while he was talking to a store clerk. I was amazed at the low-end gushing out of it, compared to an Epi pro classic iv I AB'd it with. You guys feel the same about the Epi vintage Pro ?
Naw the SWR was part of a supplied backline, we were the only band allowed to used our own gear. Please tell me you didn't position and mic an empty hiwatt cab in front of the SWR 4X. It would shatter my image of your god like sound.
Nice clip BTW!![]()

The TS prank clip was a hoot.
His songs don't do much for me.
His voice does nothing for me, except get on my nerves.
My opinion of his politics is best left unsaid. I live in LA and wish he and the Beeb didn't.
I love those shred videos.
