Thunderbird Club

Katy Perry, not Taylor Swift. As much as we might want to think that our pop-tarts are interchangeable, they and their management probably think otherwise.
We can agree to disagree.
Is there anyone that thinks he is a good singer?
It isn't his political beliefs, it is hypocritical and sanctimonious approach.

I don't understand the cult of the "celebrity". Being able to sing, play a musical instrument, convince people that you are someone else on film, or just being really really ridiculously good looking does not qualify someone to opine on complex systems that they don't understand.

Sorry about LA. By all reports it was a great place in the 50s and 60s. There are network effects for the crazies, so once there is a nucleus, they tend to concentrate. But, your loss is our gain; with each celebrity crazy that goes to LA, another community loses a celebrity crazy.

Disclaimer - I am probably not serious about at least 50% of this. I will leave what I am serious about up to imaginations. But I feel for all you LA dwellers having to tolerate Justin Bieber amoungst you. Not sorry enough that I would have him back though...
Cinnamon Girl ain't bad..

View attachment 3447165 Gig report. Outdoor festival, of course it rains during our set and every one ran for cover as the band played on. My wife captured this from backstage. The usual Hiwatt/Thunderbird setup. I was pretty happy overall, and the rig was smoki'n!

I feel for you brother. Will it ever stop raining around here?

Cinnamon Girl ain't bad..
Agree, not bad. Probably one of his better songs. That said, listen to one of his live versions with your eyes closed and imagine John Malkovich singing it.

For the record I'm not fond of Malkovich either. His acting and voice just ruins about every movie he's in (exception being RED, he fit that part perfectly).

Sunday Foto Follies.........

This was about 100 years ago........Kinda wish I'd kept the Explorer, didn't know it at the time, it's likely a prototype.

Sunday Foto Follies.........

Well, in that case...
It is the Sound of Music Festival in Burlington this week (today is the last day).

I saw David Wilcox yesterday. I saw him back in the 80s when I was a young undergrad. So, I figure he must be about 70 now. He still makes the faces, but it isn't like he did in the 70s with the hair, hat and handlebar mustache. Still, heck of a good player. Picked up one of his t-shirts.

And today at the street festival portion, I saw one of the great local acts - RetroBoogie. They aren't just a Dad band, they do a show.*
