Thunderbird Club

You're welcome, I'm happy to contribute :)

That thing got me surprised, I gotta admit.
I took a look at Hipshot clover tuners, I saw that there's a smaller clover and a larger one - both with 3-4 different inch. dimensions. Don't know what do they refer to.
My bird has the standard mini Grovers with one side screw.

These are the Hipshots........HB6

My '89, using a different model, this was before they made the HB6, you can see the original Gibson screws to the lower left of each.

Note to self: Try to avoid scheduling NBD delivery on the same day as garbage day...

A lot of disappointment so far listening to those garbage trucks go by...

And here it is!

Unfortunately I didn't do anything other that just play it unplugged for a bit, but I did weigh it. 8.7 lbs making it my lightest bass...;)

I'll get to dig into it tonight after I finish up work.

Welcome to Thunderbird! Where we do not follow the Gen Pop rules about bringing the box inside and letting it sit for a few days, then removing the shipping labels and leaving for a few more days... After 6 weeks you are ready to see your new bass.

At least ignore his first post since he was wrong. The black plastic does come off. Have seen the results multiple times now.
Seeing one thread about peeling a pick up doesn't count as seeing multiple times... ;)

I believe that the Queen @TBird1958 posted photos of the peeling process of pickups. Those photos are probably just a few pages back.
