Who's That gig report, the usual culprits involved. We surprised our booking agent with her favorite Who song I'm One, she was near tears. She literally did more for us in two weeks than we could do in two yearsand that was just for starters. Bigger and better things comming in 2020!

The drummer also plays in a band called Not To Be Taken Away?

Great stuff. Bass is a bit low in the mix, but it can be picked out. Thanks for posting.

So far the GK MB212, with that little SansAmp Fly Rig pedal seems like it's going to deliver the goods. It always takes me a long time, a handful of gigs, and too much nerve-wracking doubt to arrive at what a new piece of "kit" is going to do for my musical life. So nothing I say here means jack! As of now.
But it sounds promising! Really I'm just entertaining myself now writing this. Thanks for your time.

I ran it through my stereo. plenty of bass, she is standing right next to the guitar player and catching quite a bit of his amp.

The little microphones in phones easily get overwhelmed by volume.

No doubt. Vinnie's a great drummer, the band is whack... love that tune too- Billy Cobham kills it, with Jan Hammer playing the melody... can't recall the album.

I have used that combo at a rehearsal studio. Seemed to work fine but there but no idea in a real live setting. Is the SansAmp the real tone shaping for your sound or is that just kicked in as needed?

I just had a blast from the past (memory) - my 1st 'in front of an audience' 15 minutes was playing "Let Me Stand Next To Your Fire" (I kid you not!) in a trio at my High School talent show. (!) It gets better... I had my grandma (who was a seamstress) make me a jacket like the one Jimi was wearing in the fish-eye lens pic on the cover of their 1st album... out of flowered curtain material! I wore that and those rectangle blue/red/green "hippy glasses" ~ early performance costuming! I wish there was a Super 8 document... you can't fake that level of potential funny!

No it was at a restaurant called Bridges on Granville Island. Dinner jazz for the Flash cast & crew Christmas party. I don’t often wear a tie so it didn’t occur to me to straighten the damn thing before photos.

Markbass heads are at the rehearsal space I’m going to and I’ll be playing through one at a gig next week.
Anybody know what those two knobs on the right side actually do?

I'm not sure, but I like what it's doing. My mind at this point is that it'll be an "always on" item.
I will say that the Comp/SansAmp/Octafilter together are lending a phat and nimble, well-defined personality to the sound. There's one setting I think will work for the surf/dub/mashup trio, and a small tweak will usher in the 80s pop thing.
