Thunderbird Club

The most dangerous thing we have on the wet coast is mould spores.
We do have brown recluse spiders. That is why I always wear gloves when moving firewood or lumber. I probably should wear gloves when gardening, but hands in dirt feels too good to wear gloves.

The baritone Telebird is finally alive. What I thought was a volume pot turned out to be a blend pot. It is a pitfall of raiding the parts drawer. And I wired the switch backwards so it is opposite of the pickup that is on. Neither is a problem. Those issues will be fixed soon enough. Screwing something up is a requirement. The Bigsby makes stringing it a PITA, but it sure is fun to play. It probably will not get much use. I do not care. It is its own unique thing, a bit like the P-Bird.

New owner of a Epiphone Classic IV. Considering straplocks. I'm concerned about replacing the original strap button that's screwed in through the neck plate.

The Epiphone Thunderbird Classic Pro IV is a neck through.

The Epiphone Thunderbird IV is a bolt on neck.

I’ve never heard of an Epiphone Thunderbird Classic IV.

Black pickguard arrived today (Asian eBay seller)! That and some black Gibson screws and Gold tophat knobs (both via Reverb), make my '19 Gibby T-Bird pop!

Well, impromptu noise session today. That was fun. unfortunately, when we do it spur of the moment, we don't think about what songs to do and we always have trouble remembering what songs we know (yeah, it is as bad as that sounds).

And also took 30 minutes to learn to play Taxman. Official excuse - every one needs some several Beatles in their repertoire. Real reason would get me banned, but well, that is probably enough said.

Anybody use the Gibson Nubuck guitar strap?

If so, any feedback? Pix?

Every time I have looked at Gibson straps, I have marvelled at how expensive they are and how cheap they feel. An impressive price to quality ratio. I would much rather get a real leather strap from another manufacturer. My $0.02 and advice worth that much. I have been very impressed with these straps.

No padding, but the leather conforms to me in a way that is very comfortable.
