Thank you! That's a thoroughly played 'Bird I can plainly see. Must be a gem!!!!I've worn away enough that you can see typical Gibson 9 ply construction.

Happy Friday everyone. Waiting for an anticipated snow storm here in Spokane, with the attendant traffic foolishness to follow. Picked up my amps yesterday from the tech. He found a loose wire from the input jack, and a couple of loose nuts where the pan connects to the board in my Portaflex. He was unable to make heads or tails out of the Ashdown. He asked if I had a schematic, as he had some trouble locating one. I am emailing Ashdown again and seeing if they might provide me with a copy. I was hoping to use that little head with a Rumble 2X10 cab as a monitor for a gig, but will likely drag along an older Bassman instead. Partly new lineup is playing tomorrow night at a fundraiser. The rhythm guitar player and I joked last night that there is always a storm when we play. We have played this event for the last four years, and there is either a Seahawk's game, a snow storm, or both when we are on. I will post again when I (hopefully) hear from the folks at Ashdown. Have a great weekend everyone.
If it helps, it's raining over here on the West side......like it always does. As for the traffic that goes with it, the majority over here can't drive anyways, even if the sun is out. So there's that.
As for the Hawks game, I'm off to Milwaukee tomorrow morning for a business trip that will also involve a trip to Lambeau Sunday. I do love when someone else is paying the bill.

How does a Gibson's construction compare? That's what I'd like to know. If someone could show a photo of the backside of their Gibby's that would be helpful
The same. Not sure what type of joint they use on the Epi to connect the wings, on an original it's a V joint, V pointed toward the center of the body.

Epi is counting in metric, not 'Murican. Seven metric is the same as nine 'Murican.

No. The only Epi nuts that are that wide are older bolt-on Thunderbirds, so far as I know. The rest are 1.5 like a Gibson.

My EB-2 has a slight amount of neck dive, and it's heavier than you would expect for being semi-hollow. I play it tipped up toward the ceiling, which solves the minimal neck dive problem completely. It would have worse neck dive if it was long scale.

Hey Tim, I recall that west side traffic well. I lived for a few years in Parkland. It seemed like the poor part of Pierce county as I recall. Have relatives in NE Tacoma that is a little nicer. I miss the area, but not the traffic. I got used to the rain after awhile. Safe travels to Milwaukee, and have a great time at Lambeau. Well, if you've been here I'm actually right next to Sprinker Rec Center, it's technically Spanaway, but we have a Tacoma address. I've been in the Parkland/Spanaway area for about 20 years now, but have had a Tacoma address the entire time.
At one point I was closer to Graham than Tacoma, but still a Tacoma address. Parts of Parkland can be a bit "ghetto", mostly at the Northern edge near the freeway. But I still prefer Pierce County over King County any day of the week, and twice on Sundays!As for the game, I got my McDougald jersey all packed and ready to go (sure glad they signed that guy so I don't have to custom order a jersey with my actual name on it). Ahhh Parkland, when my father moved to the west side of the stae in '68 (after he and my mom split up) he bought a house on Golden Given Road, near Brookdale Golf course.
As @Gaolee says, the older bolt neck models have wider necks. You can usually tell the width at the nut by the headstock on the bolt neck models. The thin necks angle to the right, while the wider necks have a more "straight ahead" headstock.
Thin neck (Yes, I know this is from a neck thru but it holds true with the newer bolt models).
