I never had, either, but it just happened to work out that way. I know you can appreciate that shallowness.I'm shallow as the next person, but I haven't thought about a color theme for my pedal board. The board itself is orange. Maybe that's it.
I don’t think I’ve bought anything lately that they would’ve had1. St. Catherines.
2. That's what happens when you don't shop there.
Well, there you go. You should have been buying all the things that you didn't want there. You didn't and now it is gone.I don’t think I’ve bought anything lately that they would’ve had
should go well with this...I'm shallow as the next person, but I haven't thought about a color theme for my pedal board. The board itself is orange. Maybe that's it.
The LPF part cleans up clank a lot or a little, depending on what you set it at. It seems to tighten up the top end a bit somehow by getting rid of frequencies a bass shouldn't be making anyway.
It would require changes in my little pedal board. What's the use case for a LPF for a bass? Broughton's HPF would fit my black pedal with white print theme, where the red combo would not. Plus it's bigger.
And also if I want to keep the little board that easily fits into my Gator ProGo, it might require switching from the Damnation MBD-1 to the 2.

Thanks. I'm sure you're totally right about having that added functionality, if and when needed. The red one allows you to tune the high frequency response (aka remove pesky tweeters) for more of an old school tone, which is a similar function to a cab simulator. When I bought mine I was looking for a HPF only, but the red one came up locally and I'm pleased I have the added function. And there's a ton of clean boost available should you want/need it.
You're on the road from misery to [pedal flipping] happiness today...

So you just run the HPF in front of everything? I've seen where several people like the LPF after the rest of their effects, so I just wondered.
I run it right after the wireless receiver. Not that there's much else beyond the wireless receiver anyway. I'll occasionally kick in an octaver, which I don't want cut. That's after the filter. And the envelope comes after for similar reasons. Then there's the DI box and the cord to the amp. Eventually, there might be fuzz. Maybe not, though. I still have to build the fuzz and then see if I like it.So you just run the HPF in front of everything? How do you find running the HPF in front of your Cat Tail affects the tone?Yes in front -- to prevent subsonics and hf hash doing weird things with the CatTail and flanger.
Brooklyn would be quite the hike for me. I'm sure the fret issue is an easy fix. The rubberband of a neck is probably unfixable though. That said, please do pm the luthiers contact info to me, in case I need someone for work on my other instruments or if the JC's neck ever decides to stop dancing. And thank you! Cheers!Have you considered taking it to a good luthier to work that out? Could end up being a fantastic bass. I know a great one in Brooklyn, depending on how far you're willing to travel.

Aside from sounding like the script for a Monty Python rapid-fire insult skit, 'ovular' used like that is definitely in the same neighborhood.

Sounds like a reference...?“bovine scatology”?......
