How do you feel about motorcycles? Also, out of curiosity, do you own and ride bicycles? I know one person that chooses to live their life completely by bicycle and public transportation. Nice guy if not a bit weird for Michigan since life here is so automotive-ly defined.
Don't like motorbikes. Haven't ridden a bike since I was nearly killed by an idiot in a van. As a general rule, if I can't get there on a train and/or walking, it's not that worth doing/seeing/going anyway -- the Jack Casady was seven stops on the train and a 5 minute walk.
Our cities are built around cars not people, but I think slowly more and more people are going car free. Maybe one day half the roads will be dug up and turned into parks or gardens.
