it’s both. I have been gigging with mine for several years.

Never feel bad about protecting your home and family.I just watched the UPS guy deliver the Babicz. Yeah! I’m excited, but can’t get home until later. I’d post a pic of him doing it, but that would be really creepy. Creepier than the fact that I actually have cameras set up...
Is it the amp/cab, or do you need to add a little dirt/drive? My personal preference is dirt/drive with a clean blend. So I'm thinking the GK MB212 combo isn't really doing it for me with the Thunderbird CP. Lot of roundish low-mids, not much forward growl, not much "teeth"...
Any advice for eq?
Also I'm eyeing one of these...

Thoughts, anyone?
Do you mean what’s the difference between the Classic Pro and the Vintage Pro?Tell me something. Other than the neck wood, what is the difference between the Epiphone vintage and vintage pro?
I've never seen one but I'll bet it's as heavy as a Peavey. So I'm thinking the GK MB212 combo isn't really doing it for me with the Thunderbird CP. Lot of roundish low-mids, not much forward growl, not much "teeth"...

Well I've got some fuzz... And the sansamp jig on my pedalboard. I suppose I should continue experimenting with that before jumping ship.Is it the amp/cab, or do you need to add a little dirt/drive? My personal preference is dirt/drive with a clean blend.
If that is a solution, at least dirt/drive tends to be cheap.

I just have a thing about the native sound of the amp I'm playing through. I really like it to match up with the instrument I'm playing, and I'm not sure that these really match up.Well I've got some fuzz... And the sansamp jig on my pedalboard. Too far from the bridge for me. But that's cool. That's the guy who made the thumb rest for my BC Rich.It is handy for that, but I ordered-and installed-one of these:

Do you have the Contour knob all the way off?So I'm thinking the GK MB212 combo isn't really doing it for me with the Thunderbird CP. Lot of roundish low-mids, not much forward growl, not much "teeth"...

For my taste, the Sansamp gets a bit fizzy on drive (cranking drive and character).Well I've got some fuzz... And the sansamp jig on my pedalboard. I suppose I should continue experimenting with that before jumping ship.
Yep, never use it.Do you have the Contour knob all the way off?
I don't play by the bridge that much plus I wanted the ashtray on the bass.Too far from the bridge for me. But that's cool. That's the guy who made the thumb rest for my BC Rich.
If you're open to other pedals, I can't recommend checking out the Damnation Audio MBD2 highly enough. It's the one I have in a smaller size. I find it really tightens things up and is quite flexible in what you can get out of it.Well I've got some fuzz... And the sansamp jig on my pedalboard. Try a Wilde J PUP in it, but check dimensions first. They’re the original Bill Lawrence design. Like 45 bucks. Or better, get the PJ set. His widow and daughter still make them in a little shop in L.A. Those stock Squier PUPs are rubbish, IMO.Every once in a while I'll dial up volume on the J pup just to remind me how useless it is. Then right back down.
Being that my heaviest amp(that I use)is 36#, that thing looks heavy. I have others that don't leave the house.

I'm not overly impressed by them, but it's my 'backup' bass. The ashtray and thumb rest are about as far as I'm going, 'cept for strings-PRN.Try a Wilde J PUP in it, but check dimensions first.
