Thunderbird Club

My guess is that the OP meant "vintage" as in 'not new', as opposed to"Vintage" as in 'model'. Or possibly doesn't know the difference. Or is trying to scam?

Eventually the Vintage Pros will be vintage Vintage Pros. My (vintage) Orville will be 30 later this year, which prolly makes a 64 Bird antique.

The Epi bolt-ons are the gateway drug to the world of Tbirds. Fit and finish is very good. Tuners are probably the weakest link; at least they are on the Goth I have. They work and are better than the tuners on my MIM 7ender Mustang. The pickups are birdy; not as strong as Gibson’s, but sound good. I think the Vintage Pro pickups sound better.

Agreed on the tuners. They are better than many entry level guitar or bass tuners, but can be a bit fiddly.
WRT p[ickups, they're simply different. More low end on the std IV, angry piano on the VP.

been trying to lose some weight and get a bit fitter. Been doing ‘ParkRun’ on a Saturday (as a walker) when the course isn’t flooded, or the air too smoky. Stepped it up last Thursday and did boxing fitness class.
Since I cooled down that afternoon been having a sore neck that doesn’t want to turn to the left and bad headaches. Yesterday, headaches retreated but the pain started extending into my left shoulder.
Went to a physio yesterday and he has helped my neck quite a bit, back again tomorrow. He thinks I have a small tear in my left rotator cuff as well.

Odd week, not comfortable. I’m not boxing today.

I would have looked the other direction. With headaches and shoulder pain it points to a neck injury rather than rotator cuff. There are specific tests for rotator cuff injury. Put your hands out front with thumbs pointed down; weakness indicates rotator cuff injury. Put your hands behind your back and try to lift them. Weakness indicates injury. Lifting your arm from beside to above your head directly in front. Inability, hesitation, or rearrangement indicates injury. And pain trying to sleep when lying on that side.

Neck injuries can look/act like shoulder injuries but require different treatment.

I'm not a doc, but it sounds like an impinged nerve in your neck or something similar. Get a second opinion.

yep. He concentrated on the neck and getting me some improvement in movement.

Someone (who is knowledgable in all thing Epiphone) should create a sticky (oh ahem yourself!) listing the different Epi Thunderbird models, their neck attachment and dimensions, wood, pickups and finishes offered.

Or just put up a link to this: http://www.epiphonewiki.org/index/Thunderbird.php.

Cool! Missing the VP, though. And needs overall length (key for cases). And no longer maintained.

Some of these are funny in an ironic sense,

And the Wikipedia entry is stupid, as it only links to the Gibson and Epiphone pages fro the various models. G&E have revamped their websites, meaning that non-production data is unavailable, and even current models are not that easily compared.
