I’ve started to learn reggae bass lines on a keyboard for the eventuality that one or the other shoulder will need repair!Sounds like a good idea. But it is so hard to find a backward bass...![]()

Can't tell you how many times they've said I had to mix the band to your bass, perfect is my usual reply. Medium sized venue, no one showed ...........was a charity gig. I don't think the bass is to loudDo they ever even bother sending you to the FOH?

That's me then.
Although I'm about 200 miles north of the bow bells
Yep, just a few pounds under a hundred, but the best large cab load in/out ergonomics design I've found. The side handles are perfectly placed for an easy dead lift into a truck bed or van, and the tilt back wheels make horizontal and stair transport a breeze. I originally had an Ampeg 810 fridge and A/B'd it side by side with the Berg, no contest - the Berg was louder, sounded better and was much easier to schlep to gigs. You guys are making me want to PM @GBassNorth to inquire about his Berg. If I’m correct, it’s only about 100 lbs. A featherweight compared to your guys’ stuff.
If you get serious about wanting to part with it, let me know. Your’re less than two hours away. My brother lives in Dos Vientos and I go past you on the way to his place.Yep, just a few pounds under a hundred, but the best large cab load in/out ergonomics design I've found. I'm soon to be 61, still carting this around. View attachment 3734147
Sounds like progress!Good news/bad news...
Good news
No problem with the weight of a Thunderbird on my shoulder.
Thunderbird still sounds awesome
I can now reach the 4th fret
Bad news
Can't lift a bass with my left hand - just too much weight
Can't get the strap over my head with my left hand (while the right supports the bass)
Insufficient external rotation to reach past the 4th fret
I can't lift my arm far and long enough to play for more than about 15 seconds
Prognosis
Better than it was a week ago, so it is all headed in the right direction!
Mike's just into short blondes.Coulda sworn it looked a wee bit shorter. My bad.
In honor of TT, here’s one of my favorite vids of a favorite song and artist with the bassist on a THUNDERBIRD!
One trick pony my ***.
