Obviously my tastes have not changed since high school because I still find that there are only two types of music: Music I like and music that SUCKS.

Actually, I have come to appreciate some disco. Bootsy plays disco and he has some killer grooves. I learned Groove is in the Heart because my sister in law likes that song, but I love playing it; it is just fun.

I play it on my THUNDERBIRD (tuned DGCF so it is easier to reach).

I love it when bass payers use simple lines, it carries a lot of weight. Although can you imagine if say Rex Brown did that? Pantera would not be the great band they became. Others as well, I just listed Rex because he oped into my head first.

Mine had no problems with the wood changes on the neck. But... I agree on the neck shape; it was killing my hand. And the more I played it, the worse that got. The preamp wasn't the best, for sure. Besides the neck, my biggest complaint was the lack of low end. The Thunderbird had no thunder, which the rest have in abundance. I wasn't sure if the tonal issues were more preamp or pickups; I was going to try rewiring to have a passive option, but when I couldn't get on with the neck I gave up.
Moving the upper strap pin to where the neck heel would be on a bolt-on or set neck helped with strap dive. A lot.
Mine came with a warped bridge, which was also off center. I plugged the holes, and drilled new ones to fit a Hipshot A-style. Much better.

I think he helped me decide to say goodbye to my 4 banger Pro. I thing this week I may dig it out and take pictures.

this type of hardware is about as sexy as lipstick on a pig....i just want something with more resolution than the 16 bit converters on my Acer. for going straight into a board I use my Jules..

Me too. Nice people. First time I was there was in ‘84. There was a transit strike of some sort and the radio news people were bemoaning how bad the traffic was. My wife and I just laughed. It was nothing compared to LA. Last time was about 10 years ago. We enjoyed it.

Well, sadly, it's one that got away, not too far, a local guy named Jeff Ament, I guess he plays in a band called Pearl Jam - he owns it now. I may have to try to change that some day.
