Thunderbird Club

Yup. I don't mind it. I just have other priorities at the moment.

I just took a good look at the ad for the WI one again. Doesn’t say anything about a case. Two minor paint chips and the nut (corian) has a small chip by the G slot. Like the PG, the knobs are not original. IMO it’s way overpriced, especially if no case. It’s been on there for quite awhile. I’m not surprised.

The one on here in MI with a case and a Babicz on it and both a Hipshot and the three point in the case is a bargain.

Agreed. I've never made them an offer, but I know it's been there awhile. Once taxes are settled, I might make them an offer. Or not.
I don't think the various highway patrols between here and MI would consider it a "necessary" trip.

If you look far enuff, you'll see references to the Epiphone VP, NR, RI, TBII or IV, in a potful of finishes coming to a retailer near you. Pipe dreams and/or hints to Epiphone that there's a market for them.

You weren't really meaning to quote me on that one now, were ya?

I wanna see R's and NR's like this from Epiphone.

You could always have it repainted.
If I could find a BaCH or other low cost NR that's exactly what I'd do. I just didn't want to sink $300 to $500 in a refin on a $1500 bass. That's too far under water for my liking. Before I did that I'd just kick in a few thousand more and get a 1960's NR.

And thanks for that! When the prior owner of mine and you couldn’t close the trade for your Ray, it chose me.
It's always good to hear a bird has gone to a good home, and even better if it's a fellow number toting club member.

I'd love to have G's Ray, way outta my league.
She's a killer of a player with just the right amount of mojo - not so pristine that it belongs in a museum, but not so beat up that it's devalued. Playing it through my vintage Musicman HD150 is sheer bliss, that amp really sings with that bass.

Nice classic rig. The pride of SLO!

I actually forgot that San Louie was where there were made. Is MM still making basses there? If so, I need to organize a road trip! Maybe even go on up to Santa Rosa to drop in on the elves at the Alembic treehouse.
Of course it'll have to wait, like everything else, until this virus thing settles down.

I hear you, though I spent $1000 on mine and am putting in about as much to have it converted to left-handed. If it ever gets done.

Well, hope springs eternal. About $900 too much, although he’s right about them being scarce. I sure love my PB one. If someone had their heart set on one and could get the seller down to 1500 with shipping, it wouldn’t be too bad....but I’m secretly hoping he gets what he’s asking. I’m selfish that way.
You're the seller?
